Is this the lady whos show was running, under her name. She fell out with the producers so they killed her character off kept the rest of the family and called it something else.

Yes, 'Valerie', retitled 'Valerie's Family', then again retitled 'The Hogan Family'.

And if you're of a certain age you'll know it was shown on BBC1 in the 5 O'clock slot before Aussie soap Neighbours took over.

That was moving to watch. What an amazing actress and a vibrant personality. My mum used to let me stay up and watch Rhida when it was shown on BBC2 on Sunday nights and I loved Valerie and Julie Kavner's pairing!

All the best to Valerie.

Mary Tyler Moore, Cloris Leachman and co are all going to be starring in an episode of Hot In Cleaveland, Valerie Harper looked well. Filming started last Thursday.

Fingers crossed she will be with us a while longer yet! I have loved her in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rhoda.

Valerie has signed up for the next series of Dancing With The Stars (as has MS sufferer Jack Osbourne)

She's a marvel!
