I watched ‘This Morning’ – good to see Pete trying to respond positively to Andrew’s death by working with Cancer Research to set up a couple of special buses which tour the country where people can be checked to help early detection of cancer. He’s got to raise half a million pounds a year to keep them running so not a trivial undertaking.

As for the alleged ‘hate campaign’, I’ll be very surprised if the case isn’t settled out of court because they both have too much to lose by it all becoming public. Going by the Tugendhat judgement the basis of the case is a 12 page sworn affidavit which Jamelah made to Pete’s solicitor concerning Kate’s relationship with ‘a number of other individuals’ including ‘Mr A’. She provided it to support defamation proceedings he was taking against ‘Now’ over statements attributed to Kate. She later met a ‘News of the World’ journalist to discuss selling a story based on the information but they didn’t publish and other media chose not to publish ‘save to the extent that it had already been made public’ by Kate.

Interestingly her counsel made the point that if Kate’s complaint concerns the accuracy of the information in the affidavit then the appropriate remedy would be to sue for defamation. However that would have the consequence that the law allows a defence of truth which is not available in defence of a privacy claim.

If Pete did instigate or collude with trying to sell stories on Kate – shame on him. But as it was in response to a wide ranging media attack on him by Kate – shame on her too. “A plague on both your houses!” I think the sooner they both recognise that they are linked for life through their shared children, draw a line and put aside the point scoring the better. They’re both in new relationships that they profess to be happy with so why not finally call a truce and attempt to get along for the sake of the children? I agree with Betty that it would be much easier to achieve that if Pete left CAN as I doubt Kate will ever be able to forgive Claire Powell’s role in the whole murky business.

Well yes, BIB - but when did they ever do anything that would put the kids first? Never. They're both so infantile and needy, it's not true.

Can't see PA ever leaving CAN. Where would he go? What would he do? But yeah, you're right, as long as CP is in the picture, the antagonism will continue imo. And CP seems to thrive on it if the 1st ep of his show is anything to go by.

Agreed. He knows that he is in a lose/lose now. He may make lots of money, but he'll never be creditable, and he will never be the version of himself he wants to be. The symbiotic relationship he has with CP has created a monster he can't afford to kill.

When two narcissists go to war, huh? Poor kids.

I think, deep down, he knows CP gets him what he wants. Without her he will just fade into the background once more, yes he will have plenty of money, a better relationship with his ex wife and maybe even his kids, but I think he is too far gone in the fame game to be able to just give it up.

For what it's worth, I think there are times when comments about both of them have crossed the line but lately some of the language used against her has been disgusting, sexist. misogynistic and vile. I am actually embarrassed that any woman would use such ways of speaking about another woman.

Yes, she is vile but dragging yourself down to the gutter in apparent glee to see who can use the worst terms to describe her is sickening to see imo.

IMO, MOST of the posts about him are far more lighthearted and p*sstaking than many of the stuff about her which has become abusive and plain nasty. It's probably the worst I've seen in my 10 years on DS.

Although, after 10 years I shouldn't have to state for the millionth time that I can not stand either of them and, actually, if a gun was put to my head and I was forced to choose, I would say he is marginally preferable. So the inevitable comments about being a closet fan or baiting are not warranted and the last line of a weak defense.

I don't expect everyone to agree but just calling it how I see it.

Anyway, I'm off to the South Coast for a few days so won't be here to respond
I would agree with everything you said apart from finding him marginally preferable, I dislike the pair of eejits immensely but there is just something more honest (and I use the word "honest" loosely) about her desperation to remain in the public eye so if I had to chuck a prefer vote to either of them, it'd have to be KP.
As for the abuse they get, I hold my hands up & admit to following the pair on Twitter & from what I have read, in my opinion she definitely gets far more abuse thrown at her than PA, some of it is in fact a lot of it is absolutely foul & regardless of what I think of her, I don't think she or anyone deserves that kind of trash to be written about them, she's obviously VERY thick skinned as not sure I could read that kind of c**p about me.

Perhaps doing a few concerts and donating the proceeds to Cancer Research would be better. Putting his own hand in his own pocket.

They made sure we new about him selling the Fezza to give "some" money to HIPZ charity and to pay for Andrew's treatment. Its clear he didnt need to sell the car to make a donation to either, but its all about his image.

The Fezza has been sold and he replaced it with a Lamborghin.

I wonder what that actually is?
A credible musician? I think that particular ship sailed a long time ago (Exhibit A-Insania).Whilst there is a huge difference between being credible(gaining the respect/admiration of your peers) and being successful (ie.selling tons of records) PA has managed to do neither.
A brilliant father? I am not doubting for a second that PA loves his children. He does.
But it's much more about BEING a good parent than looking like one,or God forbid accepting awards and TELLING us that you're a good parent.
As long as the children continue to feature so heavily in PA's tv series he lays himself open to the accusation that although he is undoubtedly a loving parent,he isn't a particularly good one.

I think that for whatever reason,PA chose to throw his lot in with CP and CAN and now,due to the way they have sold him, they are his last and only option.
He HAS to stick with them and they are stuck with him.

And. Is Price giving the proceeds from the sale of her pink monstrosity to the charities that she supports (vision, and a new school for Harvey), btw, what is happening about that school.

The phrase "Slowly slowly catchy monkey." means;
if you are cautious and patient then you will get what you want and not make any mistakes. but if you are hasty and impatient then you will make a mistake and you will never catch the monkey (i.e. your goal)

Indeed; hopefully it will have some positive benefits.

If it is worked hard on, hopefully it will have some positive effects for people. The Marie Keating Foundation was set up by Ronan Keating's family as a result of their family experience with cancer, and is going strong with information about cancer and Mobile Information Units, so it is possible.

Let's hope so anyway - I'm all for awareness of early detection.

Of course she won't.

She sells her old clothes on eBay and only part of the proceeds go to Vision, so I doubt she'll be doing any big acts of altruism in the near future. It'll just be a case of getting the most for the car that she can and rubbing her greedy false-nailed mitts together when she gets it.

I'm not sure if he wants to be successful, or people to think he is successful. I don't think he simply wants the achievements in itself but the admiration that comes with them. He could be a successful father, millions of people i the country are, but he has to have a film crew following him around because he wants people to see he is a successful father. He could be a successful musician in the sense that he could make a great album, but the 'I want to sell out Wembly' strikes me as desperation and a need to hear loads of screaming fans and to know loads of people came to see him,

IF he sold that car and gave the money to charity, that is great. No losers there.

Indeed.
Makes you wonder why renowned family man PA doesn't trade in the Lambourghini for something altogether more practical and family orientated-a Citroen Picasso perhaps.I'm sure there would be plenty of change left over for his favourite charity.

Cancer Research have launched a Spot Cancer Early Campaign http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/canc...otcancerearly/ and Pete's foundation appears to have been set up to raise money to support it http://www.peterandre.com/foundation/. The mobile units will be staffed by Cancer Research nurses. I don't see any problem with him using his fan base and media contacts to raise money. If more people will attend a charity ball because his name is attached then it's good for their fundraising. Personally I have no interest in what car he drives, I'll leave that obsession to you ....

Loathe though I am to defend them, they both have causes they support. How they do that is imo neither here not there, as long as they're doing it, even if both of them at times use it to promote themselves. Which they do. I'm sure the charities concerned are happy with the promotion and the funding they get as a result of it so I think it's a bit petty to be picking on either one of them over this.

It's not as if they don't both provide plenty of other things to pour scorn on, after all.

Andres stories about KP were nothing to do with him responding to her attacks, at the time no one could shut him up infact a large number of the stories/remarks on him by KP were either instigated or made up by him.
Easy to wheel out the kids as a reason to stop this feud now that CP/PA are finally being exposed for using them and others in this battle, but never has it been more important to secure for them, in a court of law, the truth about just what really happened during their childhood.
Only one way PA will leave CP and thats if this cc goes against him and he claims to be CP victim, just like he did with KP
