Most people read them out of order because they were translated out of order, same thing happened with Jo Nesbo.

It's worth noting that that contains ALL the spoilers for the last Wallander novel. Avoid the link if you haven't read it yet.

It's a very apt summary. Not the jolliest of reads at all.
My apologies, I thought it was a parody on a generic Wallander book because of the recurring themes, i.e relationship with daughter, possible heart attack in nearly all the books etc.

It is a very good summary of that book. That one is the last in the series though, and is quite a lot bleaker than the rest of the series, I found. I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the other books.
