Amanda Bynes was ‘detained and taken for a mental health evaluation' after supposedly setting fire to a stranger's driveway.
Amanda Bynes was forced to undergo a mental evaluation on Monday night, after the troubled starlet caused a commotion in a California residential neighborhood.

Ventura County police officials responded to a disturbance in a Thousand Oaks, Calif., neighborhood and took the troubled starlet into custody.

TMZ.COM

Bynes allegedly set fire to a neighbor's driveway on July 22.

"Deputies investigated the incident and determined that [Bynes] met the criteria of 5150 (California Welfare & Institutions Code)," Cpt. Don Aguilar of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department told the Daily News.
Bynes, 27, may have inexplicably started a small fire on a person's driveway, according to TMZ, though law enforcement officials did not specify those details.

The actress did not appear to know the person who lived at the address, according to TMZ.

"She was detained and taken for a mental health evaluation," police said.

It's about time that someone stepped in. As much as this girl claims that she doesn't need help, she clearly does!

Poor little broken girl. So very talented. I hope she gets the help she needs...and that she manages to walk away from this nonsense.

I don't think she's been well for a while. I hope she gets help and get better. Why has it only taken til now for someone to intervene? Not only has her behaviour been bizarre, she's been getting in trouble a few times too so there's obviously been something wrong for a while

I hope she gets the right help & support now and can get back on track (I also hope the little dog is safe and well, what a bundle of cuteness).
