was watching Michael buble's xmas special Mariah was on and she sounded great very smooth like the old days.
I know she's done some awful live performances from 2002-2009 but seems like she sounds better merry Christmas II you had some great vocals on has she given up drinking maybe?

Mimi the Legend!

I was back home in America for the past couple months and she was recording in the studio where my brother works, she still has an amazing voice. Probably not the way it was when she first started but she can still outsing half of the singers in the charts right now.

Also, I love me some Lana Del Rey, but honey no! She is not a strong singer. At all. Like studio sorcery is needed for her.

Her voice never left! She was born with vocal nodules which have made some of her vocal performances inconsistant as she has gotten older, but generally her voice is still amazing and she can still give performances which would put all of today's singers to shame.
Also I agree that her performance with Michael Buble was stunning!

Her performances can be on and off tbh. She killed All I Want For Christmas recently at that rockerfeller show (I think it was there)...in a bad way. They dubbed it for TV. But then she's given a lot of great performances of it this year too. I think when she's fully rested she sounds amazing. She just needs to not overdo it

Do you mean the Washington show or Rockefeller? Her vocal was pretty off in Washington but it seemed nice in the fan videos from Rockefeller.

If you're referring to her 90's voice, I think she didn't get it back and she never will. She's older now and she's been performing for years, so her vocals are weaker and they have naturally deteriorated. As long as she can maintain at least half of her old vocal range and avoid getting embarassed like she did with that 'AIWFCIY' performance the other day, she'll be fine

It might have been Washington. I can't remember but I'll go have a look.

My friend went to her show in Australia recently and he said she sounded phenomenal. Not 90s but still great. And she sounded amazing during that improv performance at Jimmy Fallon.

Even if she lost her voice, she'd still outsing any artist out there. You can't deny the Legend's talent.

I do think the fact she gave up drinking when she was pregnant really helped it's known it can dry out your voice.
for me the worst era live was charmbraclet & emancipation of mimi.
I also remember some performances where certain lines were mimed and some live to make up for the fact her voice sounded bad.
to me ever since 2010 she's really improved and almost sounds as good as rainbow/glitter era where she sounded great.
worst live performance for me was baby come come 2006 grammy nominations and also tmb gma less said about that the better lol.
