Take a look, looks quite nice. What does everybody think about it? Anybody actually have one of the older ones?

Whilst I love my Mac and my Nano, this smacks of coporate hook-up. Doesn't help that I can't stand U2. And I've NEVER seen one of the old ones in the wild.

So, from me a yawn. Come on Apple, MacTablet please!

ETA: Oh, and for what it actually looks like, I thank the previous U2 ones for showing that iPods could look good in black, and the black/red combo is fairly cool. Would have to reserve judgement about the black back until I see one, though.

What exactly is the difference between this one and the older one? My friend has a U2 iPod bought a year or two ago from Argos.

This is the 5th generation version, or the "video" ipod. and your friends would have been a 4g(black and white screen) or a photo version

So that's why the Apple site won't load for me. I'm trying to look at the details of the iMac again... will wait 'til tomorrow!

There's no reason it wouldn't load. It has worked fine for me all day. Apple has so much bandwidth and this is not a huge new product that will attract website slowing traffic.

Turns out that NTL's DNS servers fell over earlier that's why I couldn't access it... I'll have a look at it now...
