I know that - I was illustrating how unlikely it would be that he'd have a box from a shop with 1.00.06 on it if he bought it then. The OTA date is largely irrelevant in that respect, as the factories could have started fitting boxes with 1.00.06 from soon after the 24th, but certainly not before.

Me too, they are slow, but do reply eventually. However, if you ring them they have always rang back the same day. I even got a direct reply twice, threw me as I was expecting to leave a recorded message!

Any 9200T bought before the date of the OTA would be very unlikely to have the 1.00.06 firmware on it ... it does take time to get from the factory to the shops!!!

Eventually for some and never for many ... they obviously don't have a modern ticketing system for issues!

With respect to Humax you know you get a reply by phone ... with email its only a perhaps!!!

I have sent over 10 e-mails since last November and haven't received one reply! They will even admit on the phone that they have no system to control the answering of e-mails, therefore in my opinion it's a complete waste of time.

Unfortunately, my 9200T has a fault, which they cannot pursue via the phone and insist on e-mails being sent, which of course they do not reply to, so it ends up being a vicious circle. The word comedic comes to mind.

Could the shop have done the update?

Your earlier posts implied that the 9200 could have had 1.00.06 from 24th onwards!

Well Humax replied to my email this morning saying that, as stated here, a recent update in the software has been issued that resolves my problem. They also emailed empire with the details which is good.
