For ALL music videos, creativity. When videos become bland and samey it gets on my goat.

Nothing. House music is for dancing to or driving to, not listening to or watching online

Most dance music videos tend to be seriously dull considering it's meant to be upbeat music playing over the top.

The music video to House Every Weekend is pretty much the definition of a basic dance music video. Not exciting to watch, and the song itself is my least fave UK #1 of the year - it really is that atrocious imo.

    Best examples:

Sigala - Easy Love = basically all young kids showing off their major dancing skills, it's not groundbreaking but it's definitely fun(ny) to watch.

Oliver Heldens - Gecko (Overdrive) = a lot of CGI in this one, can't really describe it other than it was original and stood out.

Calvin Harris & Disciples - How Deep Is Your Love = three words. Gigi. Hadid. Fit. :p Easily one of the most sexiest videos imo this year, and it's not like that much is actually happening. Less certainly is more in this case.

I think dance music videos should be more quirky and imaginative. These are the type of videos that people will always remember.

...but to a 14 year old lad, Satisfaction was probably the best music video of all time. Also the one video that got switched off when mum or dad walked into the room. LOL :D

I believe you should use the following dance video as your basic template: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKTPf4BaHNs

    Roger Sanchez - Another Chance.
This is one of my favourite videos, just has a lovely concept to it and very charmingly executed.

Mojo - Lady (Hear Me Tonight).
This was another great one, though more conventional. I think it captured the essence of youthful adventures really well though and is memorable.
