After 14 series' of Mythbusters, very little of this stuff comes as a surprise. :D

What I really want to know is whether it's true that liquid Oxygen spilled on a road can turn it into a giant bomb. ;-)

Blood isn't blue in your veins until it comes out and reacts with the oxygen.

Punching a shark in the nose will not make it swim away from you. It will, however, p*ss it off.

Standing in a door frame during an earthquake does nothing.

Opening all the doors and windows during a tornado is the last thing you should do.

My blood hasn't ever been blue when it's been exposed to oxygen.

It is not true that Yo mama is so ugly that santa said ho ho holy shit.

It is not true that Yo mama is so ugly, Bob the Builder took one look at her and said "We can't fix that!"

It is not true that Yo mamma is so ugly that when she went to the zoo, the zookeeper said "go back in your cage"

I just wanted to clear up these misconceptions. :)

    snip>.

That's a common myth , blood does appear blue in some veins and that is to do with the veins being closer to the surface of the skin and carrying darker blood and then the way light reflects off the skin and veins , and people with much darker skin their veins may look green or brown.

Sorry all you guys with big feet apparently the size of a mans penis is not linked to the size of their feet:

    Dinosaurs are extinct.

Nope - you hear them singing in your garden every morning. :-)

Give it time. Humans are doing a good job of trying to make species of birds extinct.

A ridiculous myth peddled by my mother in law every time we move house. Put butter on our cats paws to stop them getting lost. Hard pushed to decide which of the links to post here that disproves this particular crazy "fact".

    http://www.cat-world.com.au/General-Cat-Articles/butter-on-cat-paws.html

Even if I showed here this it would not stop her turning up to our new home with a pack of Anchor butter :confused:

Yep. For instance, Reid. I don't know if that counts because it's a surname.
