Another idiots question

Sorry for another probably stupid question from new SKY HD customer....

I'm currently just using my TV speakers as I wait to buy a surround sound system.

But whilst I'm using my TV speakers I've got the sound set to stereo obviously, but should I have the digital audio output set to Dolby Digital or Normal?

Does it make any difference?

Thanks in advance.

    I've got a Toshiba Regza & i've used both settings DD & Normal & i can't detect a difference.

You might want to play around with the sound settings on your tv because on the Tosh i've got various sound settings like Stereo Spread & Voice Enhancement that are either On or Off & Dynamic Bass Boost that i can have on Off, Low, Medium & High.

Doesn't make any difference at the moment, as it only applies to the optical/digital coax output, which you are not using to connect to your TV.
