Is anyone watching channel 4's house party at 12am - 6am with different house, soul and dubstep DJs? There's shout outs, MCing and requests.

What would be your dream DJ line up?

The point is that its a party u want to be at and join in. Your not suppose to sit and watch in bed or on the sofa you should be dancing with friends as if its pre-drinks.

Mmmmm yeah, there will be be a few unsuspecting neighbours in for a noisy night tonight.

Gee thanks C4, 6 hours of mindless, unimaginative, musical drivel designed for people with no appreciation of music.

It's alright granddad. Get some earplugs and sleep with your hot water bottle and your teeth in a glass of water.

Do you have a qualification in the "appreciation of music"?

Think I have seen this before about clubbing which was on at 10pm?
Might see what the other ones like to.

    I'll be watching for sure.
Although, I just seen a 15 second live advert for it before the last part of How Clubbing Changed The World....

It had some fat, mouthy hype-presenter. I really hope he keep chatter down to a minimum and just lets the music flow.

I don't know if it's comparable to tonight's C4 offering but may I suggest you check out Jaguar Skills who might be able to open your mind a litlle. Incredible DJ and really creative with it.

As I type Blue Monday is playing so it gets my vote.

Having a look at it. Interesting scheduling idea for a Friday night; people back from the pub/club etc.

I like the idea of what C4 are doing. It's been a long time since I've watched C4 on a Friday night - takes me back to the 1990s. However it is a bit odd watching a DJ perform in a near empty studio with no crowd.

    This is awesome!

Superstar DJ's live the rockstar lifestyle, but have never been able to get TV style showings because of the nature of the music and the fact it's hard to keep the attention going.

I remember watching a Fatboy Slim set from Glasto a few years back. I've not seen anything like that since.

The camera man must be getting dizzy going around in circles all the time! The graphics they are putting up would be interesting to watch if they weren't so rubbish looking!

I wonder if Mr Flash will say any towns and cities not in England. Unless he thinks Channel 4 only broadcasts in England and doesn't realise it's all over the UK and Ireland

Well I would have been up and dancing so far if I was in a club.

I thought it was coming live from clubs though, there's no clubbers in sight! Is it just different DJs in (what looks like) a TV studio for the whole show?

Edit - I've just done a bit of research and this is it - no audience or guests!

With such diverse set of DJ's, there's no way they could have had a crowd in there that would like all 6 sets.

Aye, very odd, DJ's enjoy footling on the decks to an audience of themselves and maybe their mates, but it would be nice to see a few bodies jigging about for atmosphere.
Maybe this isn't/ wasn't filmed in one lump and it's various sets edited together, as and when they could get the DJ's to attend?

This has got me thinking about Hit man and Her in all those casuals clubs, all those years ago.

How did Channel 4 introduce this? Did they do it as if it was a closedown?
