How big is your waist?

I have always wondered this.

I just measured mine and it is 34 inches at the belly button.

What about everybody else. I am also 6 foot 2.

I need to know this because I don't believe the average waist sizes given by whatever statistics are being bandied around.

30" is great :) It's when you're heading for a 36" that you should worry.

Well it's easier to buy 30" trousers/jeans as that's the standard smallest they do at most places.:)

When i was 29" I bought 30" anyway & wore with a belt. Now that I am 30" I still wear a belt all the time even though i don't need one as I am so used to it i feel underdressed otherwise. I was able to buy some 29" trousers in Next, also in the boys childrens section of department stores :o

That's good, especially when you consider that the average is 32".

That's one of the main reasons I buy Diesel jeans, because they do a 28" waist :o

My local Next don't seem to stock any jeans with a waist size smaller than 32".

I'm 6'2" and the last time I checked my waist was 40"... supposedly your waist should be half your height

I measure my waist an inch above my belly button, since that's where my waist is

Is that like a 22/24 womens sizing?

I get very confused with sizing as a M&S 12 is very different to a Next 12 (for example) :(

I don't know my waist measurement, I buy clothes in 10's or 12's depending on how they fit, including jeans.

Edit just looked at my jeans label, it says 29".:o

I'm the same. As long as they fit it doesn't matter. I usually try them on beforehand anyway.

Female, height 5 ft 8 inches, waist measurement 31 inches. When I was in my 20s, I had a 26-inch waist - unfortunately in those days, that wasn't slim! Apparently now I'm pretty average.
