    Gangster Squad

Superb. Penn is a brilliant villain, and there's some excellent action scenes, quite brutal in parts. It rolls along very nicely and never outstays its wlecome

    8/10

    Silent Hill Revelations

Appalling. The final 'boss' fight was about as exciting as a wet sausage roll

Best bond for ages, not a daniel craig fan but was pretty good in this movie

Totally agree with that except I thought Daniel Craig was a lot more than "pretty good"!.

I saw Wreck it Ralph again with my son - loved it first time round and loved it even more the second

Improbable NYPD drama where a cop unwittingly dates the serial killer she's trying to track down.

I thought that Anne Hathaway's acting was good but the film was a bit bland in places.

Not a good film weekend for you then :)

I guess you have to have the so-so movie weekends so that you can appreciate the amazing movie weekends like the one where I rewatched the Hobbit. :p

    Oblivion.

    6/10

It had a lot going for it but I guessed the plot twist about 15 minutes into the film. After that it felt like it was just going through the motions. There were A LOT of unsubtle nods to other classic sci-fi films which I felt diminished the overall impact.

    TWISTER 8/10
still hugely enjoyable and that final twister sequence still gives me chills!

UNDER SEIGE 2: DARK TERRITORY 7/10
hugely underrated due to it's bigger brother, but fascinating nonetheless, and strong enemy charactarisations too, eric bogdanovich and everett mcgill prove to be actually worthy opponents ..... unfortunately mr segal makes them look like rank amateurs :D and the fight between segal and mcgill is LAUGHIBLY one sided!!!

and the end is a bit daffy ..... still loads of fun to be had

Cannonball Run - blast from the past and I didn't realise how many lines I use from it in everyday speech...I just love the film.

Cockneys vs Zombies - does what it says on the tin. Great fun, not to be taken seriously.

    Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome

For something that was originally made for less than $3 million and released on the internet, this was a very decent film. A majority of the SFX is quite good too. The film does sort of lose its way near the end and there's far too much "glare" in many scenes (nearly distracting) but this was ultimately a pretty good flick.

Mama - Good mostly although the CGI on the ghost ruined it, having said that the story was kinda unoriginal and the "step-mum" character was unlikeable. 6/10

The Hunger Games - slightly disappointing as I'd read the book first, but still a very good adaptation of it and Jennifer Lawrence was brilliant as usual.
