I could say Zelda OoT *groan*..... but I won't! :p

REZ is certainly a top 5 contender I think. I get so ridiculously addicted to this game sometimes, it's simple yet deep, relaxing and intense. The running man boss at the end of stage 4 with the sound cranked up is still one of the most impressive moments in videogame history for me. It's a near perfect game.

    or

Civilization, such a classic game, the original blew me away and taught me graphics mean shit all when it comes to compelling gameplay.

Tough but I think the scales tip slightly in the favour of Skyrim.

What I like is it is a 'real' world, they've created an entire history of different species, loads of religions, languages, a whole hierarchy system etc.

I tried to play Oblivion but it made me a bit queasy, Skyrim is much smoother.

I'd have to say Final Fantasy VI, with Fallout: New Vegas a close second.

    It's too hard to choose.

Phantasy Star Universe, Dragon Quest Journey Of The Cursed King, Shenmue 1 and 2, The Sims series, The Sonic series and Worms series has all given me equal enjoyment over the years.

But if i had a gun to my head and i had to choose i would have to go with......................a shot to the head :D I simply couldn't choose.

Ratchet and Clank 2 for me. The series is easily my favourite gaming franchise, but 2, with the introduction of strafing etc. seemed to hit the sweet spot for me.

Mario 64 deserves an honourable mention too - the character control in that game was amazing, brilliant fun.

I've got two. Singleplayer game is Resident Evil 2.
And multiplayer is Ghost Recon 2 Summit Strike.

Avalon-rpg a text mud. Never come close in any game to the emotional highs and lows of that game.
Coming in a close second would be Dark Age of Camelot on the graphical game front.

Zub on the CPC464, or Uncharted 2 on the PS3.

    Tough, very tough.

Championship Manager 2, EA Hockey and CoD4 would be in with a very good shout, but at the end of the day it would probably be a toss-up between FFVIII and Mass Effect 2.

FFVIII would probably just edge it.

Best game is probably the original Deus Ex. Either that or the original Half Life.

(For me the golden age of gaming was about 10 years ago, when developers were still discovering what was possible and sometimes over-delivering by today's standards. Now we have better graphics and physics, without improving the important things.)

There have been many great games over all the different formats. Such as Sam Fox Strip Poker on the Commodore 64.

I'd have to say Impossible Mission on the same machine.
It was the first and not many since that gripped me till I compleated it.

Honorable mentions to Everybody's Golf series, Ghouls and Ghosts series and Sensisble World of Soccer.

Probably Bioshock but I may post again in a couple of minutes and choose Sega Rally for the Saturn.
