Evil Dead (2013 remake) - 7/10. The first time in a very long time I've actually cringed at a movie. Not really scary though. Just gruesomely cringe-worthy.
Best bond for ages, not a daniel craig fan but was pretty good in this movie
Not for me. Thought it was only marginally better than QoS. New Bonds are just not Bond, (James Bond.)
Just finished watching Commando. Had flashback to when I watched it as an 8 year old for the first time. Crap one-liners, over the top action and Arnie in his prime. 7/10 (more for the nostalgia)
When reviewed on Radio 4's Front Row Terrence Malick's latest was mocked as being like a perfume commercial ('Malick....by Malick'). A cruel jibe, yet it does point to a certain truth - that the rest of the world has caught up.
To the Wonder very slowly coasts along as a series of brittle and gorgeous images, but with only a few half-thought out ideas of love and relationships to back them up. The cast tries hard - Affleck especially - but there's only so much that can be done with pauses and glances. This is a less ambitious/pretentious (take your pick) film than Tree of Life, which some may be grateful for. However, like Tree of Life, this is still at its heart pure soap. Ho-hum. 6/10
Argo 6.5/10 - annoying that historical facts were changed with no overt message saying that they have done this for the purposes of creating a good story.

Cringeworthy Canadian-shot sex comedy.

Passable.
I don't usually enjoy "gritty" drama's but this was very engaging. The girl who played the main character was really good!
Picked up a copy in HMV. Really enjoyed it. Quite an underated movie. Jim Carrey is good and was quite a dark film.

Teenage girl from Somerset heads to Swinging Sixties London and has a number of affairs. Some Felliniesque fantasties enliven this familiar tale.
Cricket, what a cast. Sellers genius, some brilliant scenes, funny parts. Bit farcical and the end not great but well worth a watch.
Loved it, 9/10

9/10, I hadnt read any reviews or spoilers and had no idea what it was all about, I just loved it as an action romp.
