No CGI will ever top the magic of the way animation blended with live action in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. This scene still looks flawlessly made even all these years later.

This video is the final few minutes of the film but with a modern song playing over it instead of the original music.

Always be closing,
ALWAYS, BE CLOSING!
One of cinema's saddest moments and one that still sticks in the mind for me.

I particularly love the hip thrusts when he is coming off the stairs....:D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrhNPS4nbmQ The scene actually starts a few minutes earlier with Scarlett sneaking into the library and telling Ashley she loves him, but I could only find an extract of it on youtube.
As I have said in another thread, the casting of Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara is one of the most perfect in film history.
From the godfather...when Michael is in the restroom of the restaurant getting the gun...I think I even forgot to breath.

I cried buckets watching that scene, and I'm not ashamed.
Couldn't agree more. I think it's the best performance ever given on screen in the history of film and tv, and it was all the way back in 1939! Nothing has ever trumped it, as far as I'm concerned.
:)Good call. The whole murder on the train scene is wonderful but when the car doesn't start.:o Simple idea but brilliantly executed.
