While I think of it, I am not sure if they have the same offers at all stores but currently in my local Asda, 2 litre bottles (plastic, yes I know but I am yet to find glass bottles outside of Scotland and cans are expensive) of the lovely stuff is on offer. £145 per bottle or 2 for £1.50.

    Bargain!
:D DEFINITELY a bargain if it's that much for just one bottle but as cheap as £1.50 for two lol

    Sorry! Couldn't resist...:o

    From a glass bottle, definitely!!

Barrs do absolutely brilliant fizzy juice, and all from glass bottles - the limeade is a particular favourite!!!

I can't stand Irn Bru. How does everyone pronounce it? I've heard people say Iron Bru and some Urn :D

    It's neither.

    'Irn' is actually phonetic.

i love the stuff although for me the best hangover cure is a big bottle of orange lucozade. The citrus clear one was the best but i cant find it anywhere.

the whole name was changed due to a legal issue, wasn't it?

I think Fred Mccauley did stand-up about it
Irn-Bru was first produced in 1901, under the name Iron Brew. In 1946, a change in laws required that the word "brew" be removed from the name, as the drink is not technically brewed. The chairman of the company came up with the idea of changing both halves of the name to a phonetic spelling, giving the current Irn-Bru brand

I like Irn Bru, don't drink it too often but when I do its ice cold and its got to be from the glass bottle.

I like the adverts as well, The Snowman a particular favourite.

Hmmm, I havenae had limeade either for a while.

    I love Irn Bru! :D

The best advert has to be where they're singing around the piano though :D

My favourite Irn-Bru ad was the Tommy Cooper Glass Bottle ad.

Very funny and also very clever.

This was on youtube but has been removed.

My colleague is born and bred in London but is now living in Middle England. We are going to a "Tartan Ball" in a couple of weeks and I was explaining that we will be getting a free drink on arrival.

I said that knowing our luck, it would be a can of Irn Bru!

Then she admitted that she had never tried it before! These city types! Don't know they are born!

It's lovely though I am not as keen on it as I was about 6 months ago, still lovely though.

Cant stand the diet version though, not nice at all.

Use to like it when I was in middle school, then stopped drinking it, tried it again a few months ago and could not stand the taste of it, was pretty disgusting.

However, I do like the energy drink Irn Bru 32! Lovely.

Even though I am not really a big fan of fizzy drinks any longer, if I was still a fan of any fizzy drink, it would most definitely be Irn Bru simply because I love how sweet it tastes, and it doesn't make me feel bloated after drinking it, unlike after drinking coca-cola!

Aside from the whole "Holy thread resurrection Batman" etc., I had a feeling when I saw this that I'd have made a post along these lines:

Now, I love the sugar-free version. I find the regular stuff a bit too sickly still, but can have it on occasion.

Oh no, I have to have the sugar version, otherwise it simply doesn't taste anything at all like Irn-Bru to me!

Irn Bru. About the only fizzy sort drink left (apart from Coke,Pepsi & 7Up) which has not been ruined by reducing the sugar in it. Yum!

Sadly the manufacturers are changing the recipe by removing sugar and adding Aspartame .

    Petition to stop this here:

Please sign and share peeps :)
