I suspect this is misleading. But it would a good direction for Marcus.

Months ago on here I read that Sean would propose to Marcus. Isn`t that happening anymore?

I thought Maria and Marcus were going to end up having a baby together.

Maria as a surrogate of course, but for all the wrong reasons.

I'm impressed that Marcus is actually allowed to have his own storyline! I would've thought Ms Cotton insisted the only gay character allowed to take centre stage for a storyline was him.
I always thought Marcus was nothing but Ms Cotton's characters stooge, with nothing to do but feed his ego.

Unless you wanted Aiden/Marcus as a possible romance. I see no room for Maria in it other than a friend and an excuse for Sean/Marcus drama to kick off. She isn't needed as part of a triangle now Aiden is in the picture. Afterall Marcus is a confirmed gay man, and Aiden is the more likely and logical choice for a new love interest.
From what I've read, cos I don't watch, it sounds more like Maria was/is being used as a sort of plot device in this storyline, to mislead, in what really is going to happen. between Marcus and Aiden.

Yes, I think we all thought that, but now I'm thinking that was a sl made up by us on here, rather than the Corrie writers.

So many people have been saying Marcus should have his own storyline for such a long time. I'm glad the powers that be have finally listened

yes god forbid they should go down a new and interesting route when there's a love triangle that could be rammed down our throats yet again

Agreed! I sometimes wonder if Phil Collinson peruses these forums to garner fan opinion - so many of us have been saying for so long that Marcus would develop much better as a character if he were to get away from Sean.

Charlie Condue is a talented actor - it would be good to see him do stuff beyond merely being 'Sean's boyfriend'.

So glad to see Marcus separated from Sean - I am confused as to why Marcus has even stuck with him for so long as nothing has changed since their initial relationship, which ended with them splitting and Marcus moving to London.

Yes, Sean can occasionally come across well and has proved himself a loyal friend, even to bitchy boss Carla. But in terms of immature OTT jealousy where relationships are concerned he has not developed at all - he will really have to work and prove himself as being worthy of Marcus if they are to get back together at some point in the future.

I'm sure they'll end up back together at some point even though Anthony Cotton says he prefers Sean single. They are the only two gays in the show, of course they'll end up together. Unless they bring in someone else, which I think won't happen because people already think there are too many
