How should i approach Retentions on renewing my contract and getting a better deal and upgrading to a new phone? Anyone have any helpful advice?
Do your research. Know what you want and how much you can get it for elsewhere. Know what the opposition are offering (even stuff through Carphone Warehouse and http://mymobiledeal.com/) as well as deals for new T-Mobile customers. That's your ammunition.
I always used to think hitting them early in the month helped but, recently, I've heard towards the end of the month is better. I'm not sure. I would've thought targets would've been met towards the end of a month where as early in the month folk are still wracking up the numbers...
However, also be prepared to leave if they don't give you what you want. After doing your research you might be happy to walk.
