Broken Mp4 player.. remove hard drive before selling?

Hi,

I have an Archos 504 that I am hoping to sell on Ebay for parts and spares.

It broke with an HDD error. Although the HDD does not work any more in the archos, it contains (non-explicit :p) photos of my girlfriend and I. Should I destroy the HDD and sell the archos as 'for parts and spares without HDD'?

Also, should I sell it whole or sell the parts separately i.e. leather case, screen, buttons, battery or whole?

Many Thanks,

James

i'd sell it complete, any individual item such as batteries, cases and so on you are competing with hong kong and chinese sellers who charge 1p so are always going to beat you on price for a new version of the same item.
I'd add as much detail as possible about the wording of the hard drive fault, even take a photo of the fault to include in your auction pictures, the more detail, the more interest.
Take the drive out if you want and sell it working without hard drive.
Some one may have a faulty machine with a good hard drive.
