Salem - New Horror/drama series - Season 1 US Pace

Salem is an upcomming Horror/Drama that begins airing on WGN America on April 20th
Based around the Salem witch trials, only this time, the witches are real... and scary :D

    I read about this last year and as I have always wanted to see a show regarding the salem witch trials.

    I'd suggest watching the Arthur Miller play 'The Crucible' if you want a non sci-fi version. The 1996 film of it with Daniel Day-Lewis and Winona Ryder has been showing on Movie Mix (Freeview 32) channel recently.

    I'm really intrigued by this. I was hoping AHS: Coven would be primarily set during the Salem Witch Trials, and that didn't happen, so I'm excited for this. :)

    I heard about this awhile back but news went quiet.

    Just checked the trailer and it's full of hysteria and the occult. Can't wait.

    Getting excited now, all the little promo's and teasers...I have this pegged down as a true horror series. Looks like its gonna be scary :)

    American Horror Story is too gimmicky now to be taken seriously. I'm looking forward to this.

    Nah, American Horror Story is still one of the best cable shows on TV.

    Asylum and Murder House were brilliant. Coven had its moments of greatness but just didnt match up. Really looking forward to Freak Show, but Salem will be my Coven :D

    I used to think that. I did enjoy all three AHS seasons but I am in mourning for the loss of Lily Rabe for the fourth season. It's deep.

    We don't know for certain that Lily isn't involved in Freak Show. She might be a regular, a recurring or even pop up in an episode or two. Filming isn't for ages and I'm sure there will be more cast announcements over the summer/next few months.

    As for Salem, looks good, I'll give it a go.

    Good lord what is it about Lily Rabe? Don't get me wrong I have enjoyed her in every season of AHS and she is a great actor but she isn't the reason I watch the show. The way people are going on is like she is some sort of god.

    Me watching the first episode: "hey, it's that guy from Nikita!", "what? another guy from Nikita? Is the entire cast in this?" "oh hey, that guy from Fringe!"

    Anyways.. enjoyed it enough. Probably stick with it for now.

    Alas, no such excitement around these parts. Although, I do know a couple of people with the surname Mather. :o:p

    Anyway, I thought it was a good opener, if a bit gruesome in parts, but will stick with it so far.
