I Should Have Known Better
When I was small I learned to play that tune on my toy mouthorgan. I thought I was the bees knees. I played along to it over and over in the living room for my mum and dad until one morning my mouthorgan vanished without a trace. I told myself the small splinter of wood I found beside the bin which looked the same colour as my mouthorgan was mere coincidence.
If I Fell
Norwegian Wood
Getting Better
Penny Lane
Come Together

Rather than just being a love song I like to believe the story that it's about George Harrison rediscovering his faith, especially following their long stay in India. Which gives it alot of meaning.
Long, long, long
For no one
I'll follow the sun
You never give me your money
While my guitar gently weeps
Something
And I love her
PS I love you
Here there and everywhere
Never heard of this one
It is quite subtle and wonderful

I love the White Album, it's such an unpredictable and chaotic mess of pretty much every type of song you can think of. lol I don't know why people would want it to be stripped down to just a single album with only the best songs. Personally I want to hear The Beatles at their best, worst and everything in between. It shows who they really were.
If we had only got the single album people would be complaining about missing out on the songs we never got to hear. They do that already with the few that did miss out.
I Will
She's Leaving Home
Here There And Everywhere
For No One
Something
Golden Slumbers
Fool On The Hill
Across The Universe
This Boy
I just like the simplicity of it. It has a certain sweet clumsiness.
New list
My top 6 Bonkers Beatles Songs
( was meant to be 5 but I couldn't decide which one to drop)
Rocky Raccoon
I'm So Tired
Fixing a Hole
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Nowhere Man
The Fool on the Hill
"When your bike is broken"
Followed by
Helter Skelter
Hey Bulldog
Only A Northern Song
and your bird can swing
'Bonkers' is a very loose term and could probably apply to many Beatles songs.
Some of the best known bonkers Beatles songs probably include I Am The Walrus, Tomorrow Never Knows, A Day In The Life....
Though I think the most bonkers one of all for me is probably:-
You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCsgZ9zU7IA
It was released as the B-side to the Let It Be single.
I am the Walrus is the classic bonkers Beatles song. I do like it but it's a bit overplayed.
You Know my Name...
OK that wins
Some of the most beautiful songs are on there:
Girl
In my life
Norwegian Wood
