Hi All,
A question for you more expert gym users...
Have used gyms a lot in the past but never used the built in HR handles until now ( they have a new super duper space age treadmill).
My question is this - are they accurate? I was recording quite high HRs 170-180, but my breathing was not insanely heavy and I could speak in short phrases. Does this mean my heart and lungs are in good shape under my extra lbs?
I ask because I know the calories burned figures given are quite inaccurate on a lot of cardio machines...

calaries burned figure is different. it just makes a calculation based on some facts and some assumptions.
Thanks, that's what I thought. They can't miscalc your pulse rate by too much. Using that I can see if I working out at weight loss level or higher.
