Stupidest named items from a takeaway/restaurant

I was looking through a menu the other night. You know how there are some generic names for pizzas and other times it just seems a random Italian sounding name.

Well, one of the pizzas, a cheese, tomato and onion pizza, was actually named "Pizza Pizza"

What strange names have you seen?

Porkupine pizza. It had gammon and pineapple on it.

Didnt' buy it - can't stand pineapple on pizza - but thought the name was inspired. :D

    Sexy burger.

My husband was less than impressed when he ordered one and got a burger in a bun, that is it. He asks 'wtf is that?', reply 'it's a sexy burger, it's got nothing on'!

    I laughed :D

Roast Lamp turns up in Greece a lot. Some of the Chinese restaurants in Chinatown translate their menus themselves and end up with some strange items.

I never did get round to ordering the 'big bender'.
I'd never have kept a straight face.

Typos can get companies into trouble
An Australian publisher has had to pulp and reprint a cookbook after one recipe listed "salt and freshly ground black people" instead of black pepper.

In Portugal I once saw "Monkfish in spit". Apparently 'in' and 'on' are the same word in Portuguese.

We were ordering a takeaway and one item was Masala chips. I wondered what it was so my son ordered some .It was a bog standard portion of chips with tomato sauce on them. They were £1-50 and a portion of chips with a sachet of tomato sauce included was a £1.

Back in the days when David Seaman was the Arsenal & England goalkeeper, we were in a restaurant in France or Spain (can't remember which). On the menu were various fish and seafood dishes, some in marinara sauce which as most people will know is a tomato & herb sauce. Anyway someone had been to some trouble to translate into English:

    Flounder in a Seaman Style

This was not long after Seaman's notorious blunder against Real Zaragoza, so it afforded us considerable amusement. :D
