In BAL, I asked for, and received, a move midway through my second season with Cardiff and was lucky enough to sign for Spurs who were still in the FA Cup and Champions league - on a one year deal.
Finished the season in 4th spot to guarantee Champions League football, but then proceeded to beat City in the final of the FA Cup and Champions League where I was named Man of the Match in both. Scored the first goal in the Champions League final as well.
I was actually named MVP of the FA Cup as a whole, being named in the team of the tournament and finishing first in the scoring and assist charts.
All the while being taken off at 60 minutes in each game ..
End of the season came and went and had a number of offers from other clubs which I rejected, assuming a new deal with Spurs was a formality. Advanced to next season, right up until the end of the transfer window when I was informed that I had no club for the coming season and if I wanted to continue, a club would be assigned to me.
So I continued, was assigned "Gharnetova" in the "PEU League" and exited the game and immediately uninstalled it.

sorry but it's crap like this which keeps me away from PES. It's a shame because it was once a great franchise.

It really was, but I think they've ruined what made it special with this new match engine. I used to lose count of the amount of times that you'd go in to pressure an opposition player with the ball and end up coming to a standstill with the ball stuck at both sets of feet.
It seems to be aimed more at learning the tricks, dummies and stepovers etc.. first rather than picking them up along the way to enhance your play.

I'm certainly going to look at FIFA after this
fifa is even worse, its just non stop running back and forth like a bleep test
dark gaming season for football fans this year
p.s data pack works on 360 now guys, i installed it on saturday.
after the debacle of the last season I had though, I can't see me going back to it. but then if i go back to PES 2013, i've won world player of the year on that in BAL mode so not much point in doing it all over again
I've never really tried the master league though ..
Has anyone ever used any of the option files for PES on consoles ?
The reason I ask is that I completed Gears of War Judgement earlier on and I can do a straight swap with that and PES 2013 in CEX.
If the option files give you something akin to the smoke patch on the PC and update the kits, teams, leagues e.t.c.. then I might get it and just install it for the odd kickabout here and there.
Wow, I bought this turd of a game on Saturday and can only ask - why? Why ruin a decent game by screwing around with the game engine? The new graphics seem worse than previous versions (x360) and there appears to be even less licenced teams and stadiums than ever.
I know that there are probably more licenced teams now that the Chilean league and AFC Champions League are included but theres certainly less European teams. Is the Chilean league seriously the best that Konami can do these days?
this month is last chance saloon, they are releasing a patch with 800 player faces, transfer updates and gameplay fixes(response, online lag etc)
if this doesnt fix it i wont be buying it(currently lending it)
also some pes fans are noting that winning eleven(japanese version) is not being released till late november, they have a theory that konami rushed release over here to battle fifa and that this patch is actually the finished game and not a minor update
I traded it in at the weekend. I've always chosen PES over Fifa these last 5 years but 2014 was terrible. they should have left the new engine and got it right for the next gen consoles and kept 2013's engine with a couple of tweaks.
•Winter transfers: Includes winter transfers until 10/01/14
•New faces: Aubameyang, Koke, Lassoga, Umtiti, Yarmolenko + many more
•New boot: Puma evoSpeed Sharks Blue
•Full Online Mode compatibility
•Includes latest PES 2014 Patch 1.06 and Data Pack 3.00
•Added 2. Bundesliga and Sky Bet Championship
•Added 9 stadiums: Anfield, Camp Nou, La Rosaleda, Mestalla, Rose Park Stadium (generic), Santiago Bernabeu, Stadion (generic), Stamford Bridge, Vicente Calderón
•Corrected kits for all Premier League teams and many unlicensed National Teams
•Corrected boots, accesories, shirtname for 6000+ players
•Corrected fake national team player faces (1000+ faces!)
•Fixed team names and emblems for Premier League and Liga ZON Sagres teams
•Added 50+ new boots
•Corrected player names for unlicensed National Teams (Algeria, Bosnia, Japan, Netherlands, United States etc.)
•Fixed names and emblems for all competitions
•Updated transfers for most important teams + full Premier League, Ligue 1, Serie A and La Liga
•Fixed lineups for 50+ teams (Arsenal, Liverpool, Napoli etc.)
Ranking into the 700's on the online competition mode now
Runner up in the WEPES Club Open earlier
Played as Manchester United, got a bye into the quarter finals then knocked out two 800+ players on penalties in quick succession to get to the final
Probably should have won but the other person was pausing the game for most of normal time and I lost 2-1 in extra time
Said player then sent me a message saying my connection was lagging
Game is alright once you get used to it, but there still some bugs such as the online competition randomly freezing once a game has finished, and the usual problem of some players using their mics to put people off during the game
I hope they will just take the time in PES 2015 to actually test for bugs before they release the game and not rush it through
The thing I like about players being reborn is that you can play the Master League for a very long time until the point you have built your super team.
this is the 1st pes i have never bought. passes always going to the wrong player, shots going wide or straight at the keeper, players stopping their run just as you pass the ball, shitty slow defenders catching up with ronaldo, sprinting sometimes brings you to a halt, the players 1st touch on receiving a through ball, and alot of other shit and fifa is just as bad.
put in 2013 and it felt like a new game. 2015 shoult go back to basics and stop with the fancy tricks that remind me of streetfighter special moves.

I haven't bought this edition either - The first new update in awhile. I've grown tired of the minimal improvements and the failure to expand the other game modes to become more engaging.
I too hope 2015 rectifys past oversights and is a better game overall.
I was playing FIFA 14 quite a bit round a friends house at the weekend and it's amazing how much it feels like a pro evo game now. I haven't played the latest pro but it seems very similar to one of the last PS2 pro titles. I still really struggled getting any decent shots on target though.
I think i'm just getting old but I really didn't like any of the PS3 pros. Each match just felt like a war of attrition - two West Ham's 'parking the bus'.
Decided to give this a go. Absolutely loved PES 2013, and recently got FIFA 13 which was really impressive and fun in its own right, but just not the same as PES. So PES 2014 it is.
I can see where some of the criticism comes from. First impressions are dreadful. The new engine stutters and jerks around in the supposedly crowd-pulling cut scenes. It looks like it's just struggling to get going. Oh dear. And the menus are so slooow, and they haven't even bothered with any licensed tracks this year. You get Nessun Dorma. Add your own.
But then the game starts and it's all OK. I don't think I've ever seen a more realistic looking football game. Even the Mrs thought it was a real game on TV. As a game it definitely has been nipped in the speed department; it's quite a bit slower and heavier feeling than 2013 imho. And I really like it tbh. After ping-pong FIFA it feels really scarily close to the real thing. Looking forward to some serious fun for the next few months until the next one comes out, at which point I will probably have only just gotten to grips with this one!
Just as a small addendum, if you're a PS3 gamer (sorry but I don't know if it works with Xbox 360), then do yourself a favour and grab Paul2478's option file I linked to above, for the love of God. For whatever reason the fake kits look really bad this year. You really need the option file! It slows down the loading of the game a little bit, but it's more than worth it.

Fifa is too fast for my liking and it can be quite hard to defend.

Giggs is 16 again and has the same stats he retired on. Rio Ferdinand is also 16. I'm holding out for a reborn Dani Alves, Gerrard and Buffon.
I remember this happening on the older PS2 PES games. Funny eh, the more things change the more they stay the same...

Gets irritating when someone is constantly pausing just because they are losing or didn't get their formation done in time before kick off
Wage bill for the team is about £90 million, buying Messi and Ronaldo didn't help matters.
I still get offered to renew my contract every season despite the massive losses I am making.

There's some new DLC coming out for it apparently. A new International Cup thing to go with the World Cup this year. At that price I have to say I will definitely give it a go.
