Wright v Cullen and Caven v Klaasen could be competitive too. Looking forward to seeing which game will be awarded the distinction of being Ned's Nap ;)

Has to be the Huybrechts brothers you'd think. Although I think the closest, ranking wise, is Nicho v Kellett

Taylor saying that Lewis is his biggest rival.

Strange that he didn't say it was MVG who has very recently beat Lewis and Taylor to win a tournament ;)

I agree with him. Lewis has shown he can win at Ally Pally and he does have a very good record over MVG at longer distances. They would meet in the semi final and I would back bingo....if they do meet of course

Will have to give Neds nap some thought, I go for the ones I think will be competitive and might get a mix of predictions not sure many will go against Kim in the Huybrechts match.

Quite like the look of Burnett V Winstanley and Caven V Klassen actually, couple of coin toss games those.

Its a shame priestly and scott 'the swag' rand ain't in it this year. But some very good first round games i must admit. One of the best looking first round draws in awhile for me.

Yea its a shame. He is a great player on tv. He looked a star in the making at the players a couple of years back, and at last years worlds he showed he can play. And as my nick name for him suggest, he plays the the game with a bit of swagger. I hope he can still break into the top 32. I do wonder what could have been if he had beat kevin in that players semi like i think he should have.

There's been a late change to the line-up for the Worlds. Edward Santos has withdrawn with Colin Osborne his replacement.

What a lucky, lucky boy Ozzy is.

    She was 2nd choice, I heard. :D

It's worth noting that Sky are having a wee bit of a darts marathon this Friday ahead of the opening session at Ally Pally.

As well as showing all the World final programmes back to back they're also showing 'Darts Gold' which includes the likes of Taylor vs Mardle from 2008 and the 2010 Premier League final.

I'm off work on Friday so that is going to be a great excuse to avoid doing Christmas shopping!

Apparently the ruling is next highest ranked player not qualified. Should go to one of the qualifiers semi finalists I feel.

I disagree. Giving it to the next best player across the whole year of events is much fairer.

But this isn't that either as its a two year rolling system. Osborne has had a shocking year, if it was a one year system he wouldn't be anywhere near the next highest for qualification.

Its been in the rules all year so nobody can moan, to be honest. Next highest in main OoM gets reserve slots in telly events.

I'd rather it go to Osborne than the next person in the ONE year table. I'll let you check who that is yourself :)

Just a quick note that the first HOUR of this Saturday's evening session is behind the red button.

Really disappointed with this as I'm out on Saturday night and was hoping to record the entire session. Oh well.
