Why would Donna's return threaten Maurel's made up happiness? Marlon has already made it clear that Donna (or Trisha) was nothing. Laurel was the only one he ever wanted. So there shouldn't be any problems here then.
Donna's return is only good if its for once scene and that's to take Marlon away to Somalia with her.
Putting aside my annoyance at the spoiler for a thread title, I'm hoping that Donna comes back as part of the armed-response unit, and her gun accidentally goes off shooting Maurel. Several times
It seems to me that Kate Oates has about as much of a clue about what the fans want then Stuart Blackburn did... Most of the stories in the last few months have been boring, too much focus on characters that personally I feel add nothing to the show... Now bringing back a character who herself was as boring as watching. Paint dry, an even worse actress... Why oh why do the tv stations allow such people with no clue about the show try are producing produce such shows? Makes my blood boil!
I for one am never watching this tripe again until they get a producer who knows what they are doing!!!

I always liked Donna but I do think the writers did some damage to her around the time of her exit.
I never got Donna and Marlon as a couple anyway. (their buying/building a house storyline >:( ) So while I hope she does come back to break up Maurel, I really don't want them getting back together again.
