    Ian Beale

Ian Albert Beale is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Adam Woodyatt. He is the longest-serving character

and the only remaining original character to have appeared continuously since the first episode on 19 February 1985. The character

appeared in his 2,000th episode in the show on 26 March 2007.[2] He is currently one of two original characters in EastEnders, the other

    being Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).

As a teenager, Ian argues with his father Pete Beale (Peter Dean) over his desire to become a caterer but his grandmother Lou Beale (Anna

Wing) encourages him. He starts several businesses and buys a local café soon after graduating from catering college. Ian has several failed

romances, including with his childhood friend, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), with whom Ian remains close, fellow student, Tina Hopkins

(Eleanor Rhodes) and his cousin, Elizabeth Beale. Ian gets engaged to Cindy Williams (Michelle Collins) in 1989; however, a one-night stand

with her former lover Simon Wicks (Nick Berry) leaves her pregnant. Cindy marries Ian and claims that the baby she is expecting, Steven, is

his, resulting in Ian attempting suicide when he learns the truth. He recovers and causes Simon to have a car accident in revenge so Simon,

Cindy and Steven leave Walford together. Ian immerses himself in his catering business but his exploitative working practices alienate his

friends, employees and family. He and Cindy later reconcile and Ian is overjoyed to become a father to twins, Peter and Lucy. After opening a

fish and chip shop, Ian becomes so obsessed with building his business empire that he neglects Cindy, who decides to leave him for his

half-brother, David Wicks (Michael French). Ian wins custody of their children, and makes Cindy so miserable that she hires John Valecue

(Steve Weston), a hitman to kill him. Ian is shot but is only clipped by the bullet and recovers. Cindy leaves the country with Steven and Peter

and spends a year in Italy before Ian traces them and retrieves the boys. Cindy returns to Walford and wins back custody of the children but is

implicated in Ian's shooting. She is jailed on remand and dies several months later in prison.

an has a serious romance with Melanie Healy (Tamzin Outhwaite), the manager of his bric-a-brac shop. She proposes to him but later cheats

on him with Steve Owen (Martin Kemp). Suspecting that she is planning to leave him, Ian manipulates her by falsely claiming that Lucy is dying

from lymphoma. They marry in 1999, but she leaves him during their wedding reception after discovering that Lucy is fine. Ian then pursues a

new business venture: development of high-market flats. He begins a casual relationship with his nanny, Laura Dunn (Hannah Waterman), but

only commits to her after being declared bankrupt. Laura buys back the fish and chip shop and, despite fearing that Ian is only interested in an

inheritance she has received, they marry in May 2001. Their marriage deteriorates when Ian attempts to kiss Melanie. He refuses to have a

child with Laura, who frequently belittles him. Steven learns that Ian has been visiting local prostitute Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks), and tells

Laura, before moving to New Zealand to live with Simon. Laura forgives Ian on the condition that they have a baby. Although he agrees, Ian

has a secret vasectomy and throws Laura out when she becomes pregnant later that year after conning her into signing over control of their

    businesses.

Laura's son Bobby (Alex Francis; Rory Stroud) requires a blood transfusion shortly after his birth, making Laura realise that Ian must be his

father, as her lover Garry Hobbs (Ricky Groves) is not a match. Laura dies in 2004, breaking her neck after falling down the stairs. Ian takes

custody of Bobby and also takes in his half brother Ben, following the death of their mother. Ian fights Ben's father Phil (Steve McFadden) for

custody, worsening their long-standing enmity which stems from Phil's disastrous marriage to Ian's mother Kathy (Gillian Taylforth). Ian meets a

new romantic interest, Jane Collins (Laurie Brett), in 2004. He helps her to come to terms with the death of her husband, David (Dan Milne)

from Huntington's disease, and although their relationship is severely tested when Jane has a brief affair with Phil's brother, Grant (Ross

Kemp), they marry in July 2007. Steven returns to Walford and stalks Ian, escalating to holding him hostage for several weeks. He accidentally

shoots Jane during an altercation, which results in her needing a hysterectomy. Ian forgives Steven but banishes him from his life when he

helps Lucy run away. Ian and Jane temporarily separate over Ian's reluctance to adopt a child. When Lucy becomes pregnant, she suggests

that Jane raise the baby as her own. Jane and Ian agree but he secretly helps Lucy to have an abortion, lying to Jane that she miscarried.

Jane later learns the truth and decides to steal Ian's money and leave him. Ian arranges for her to adopt Bobby, and is devastated to discover

Jane's plans. Although she decides to remain with him, Ian begins an affair with Glenda Mitchell (Glynis Barber), who later blackmails Ian,

forcing him to confess the adultery to Jane. A disgusted Peter leaves Walford and joins Lucy in Devon. Jane and Ian divorce but continue to

live together; however, their acrimony upsets Bobby and Jane leaves Walford in May 2011 as a result. Ian attempts to move on by filling an urn

with cigarette ash, pretending that he is a widower and that the ashes are Jane in order to gain attention from women. However, his ruse is

soon uncovered. Feeling dejected, Ian goes to a strip club in August 2011 and is stunned to see former Walford resident Mandy Salter (Nicola

Stapleton) being thrown out. Ian helps Mandy out with some bother and allows her to stay with him. Mandy helps Ian discover his more

frivolous side and he realises he has feelings for her. They begin a relationship, realising that they both yearn for someone to love them, and

Mandy accepts Ian's impromptu marriage proposal. The relationship is marred by Mandy's one-night stand with Ricky Butcher (Sid Owen),

Ian's insecurities, interference from Mandy's abusive mother Lorraine Stevens (Victoria Alcock), and Lucy's hatred of Mandy. Despite Lucy's

best efforts to split them up, Ian is determined to marry Mandy and brings their wedding day forward. Mandy is horrified, however, when Ian

chooses her over Lucy and throws his daughter out. Realising she does not love Ian, Mandy leaves him in May 2012. Already behaving

erratically due to numerous stresses: (his brother Ben's (Joshua Pascoe) confession that he murdered Heather Trott (Cheryl Fergison), threats

from Ben's father Phil, and facing financial ruin), Ian has a nervous breakdown after Mandy leaves him; he wanders along a road barefoot,

dressed only in pyjamas, not telling anyone where he has gone.

Two months later, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), working with homeless people, sees Ian at a homeless shelter. Tanya Cross (Jo

Joyner), Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Ian's long time friend Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) find him and bring him back to the Square but Lucy

is unsympathetic, angered by his leaving her and Bobby, and slams the door in his face. Ian refuses to acknowledge anyone. He stays with

Tanya and Max until Phil finds out he is back and takes him to his house to ensure he does not tell anybody about Ben murdering Heather. Ian

continues to be unresponsive until Phil's partner Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) mentions Heather, and his memory returns. Ben attempts to help

Ian by taking him to the café, but Lucy screams and has him physically removed. Ian, extremely miserable, collapses in tears outside, while

Phil worries that Ian will remember that Ben murdered Heather. After Sharon returns to Walford, she successfully persuades Lucy to give Ian

another chance. Lucy agrees but on the condition that Ian signs all of his businesses to her so that if Ian abandons her again she can be

financially secure and Ian does so. Ben confesses to the murder and is remanded in custody, leaving Ian shocked. He starts working again at

the café and starts getting back into his old life. Phil then gets Ian to visit Ben in prison to try to get him to retract his confession, but Ian says

he cannot tell Ben what is right. Eventually, Zainab Khan (Nina Wadia) persuades Ian to attend counselling in an attempt to recover from his

mental breakdown and, after talking to Sharon, Lucy finally makes peace with her father.

Ian sparks a friendly rivalry with Denise Fox (Diane Parish) as the two engage in a fruit-selling war, though he irritates her. Denise's sister Kim

Fox (Tameka Empson) attempts to set them up on a date but this upsets Denise who kisses Kim's boyfriend Ray Dixon (Chucky Venn). Kim

discovers this and disowns her sister, so Ian allows Denise to stay with him, igniting a friendship between them. It eventually leads to a

relationship when he confides in her about his life on the streets. Ian decides to open a restaurant, though Lucy is worried it will fail because of

his mental illness. He runs out of money for construction but then finds a box of cash that used to belong to Derek Branning (Jamie Foreman).

He also gets Janine to invest in the restaurant, and eventually tricks Lucy into signing over all of the businesses to him. Peter (now Ben Hardy)

returns to live with the family, and is soon followed by Cindy Williams (Mimi Keene), the daughter of Ian's dead ex-wife of the same name. Ian

lets Cindy stay, and Denise also moves in with the family. However Carl White (Daniel Coonan), an associate of Derek, arrives in Walford and

soon works out that Ian has spent Derek's money. Carl claims the money was his, and so repeatedly extorts large sums of cash from Ian as

payback. Carl is violent, and burns Ian's hand when he tries to refuse. Carl then promises that the debt will be paid if Ian lies in court, and says

that he saw Max tampering with the brakes of Carl's car. Ian reluctantly agrees, but on the day of the court case he is kidnapped by Phil, and

Max is found not guilty. It is then revealed that Max was in on the kidnapping, but it was just to lure Carl into a trap. Ian then has to face the

consequences of his actions, and Denise is angry when she finds out the truth.

Denise thinks that Ian is planning to propose to her as a Christmas present, but he denies it even though he has bought an engagement ring.

Peter reveals that he is in a relationship with Lola Pearce (Danielle Harold), the mother of Phil's granddaughter and his niece Lexi Mitchell.

Phil threatens Ian and forces him to end the relationship. Ian tells Peter this, and Peter tells Ian that he has found £10,000 that Cindy stole from

Phil. They return the money, and Phil blames Ian, believing that he put Cindy up to stealing it. In January 2014, just as Ian is about to propose

to Denise, Jane arrives unannounced. Jane later buys into Ian's restaurant and they begin running it together, leading Ian to harbour feelings

    for Jane.

Ian is pessimistic when Lucy decides to set up her own property business and later becomes concerned about her when he discovers she is

sleeping with Lee Carter (Danny-Boy Hatchard) and is taking cocaine. He confronts her and admits she is the child he is most proud of, but

this is overheard by Peter, resulting in Lucy storming out. Ian tries to contact her when she does not return home that night, but is later informed

by DC Emma Summerhayes (Anna Acton) and DS Bryant (Glen Wallace) that Lucy has been found dead. He identifies her body and then

shares his devastating news with Jane, Denise, Cindy, Bobby and finally Peter. Struggling with their grief, Ian and Jane share a passionate

encounter, giving Ian hope that they might reunite. When Jane dashes his hopes, Ian takes his anger out on Bobby and Jane decides it would

be best if she take Bobby away for a while. Cindy also leaves the square to return to Devon with her aunt Gina. Increasingly alone, Ian leans on

Phil for support and questions how he can move on from his daughter's death. With Peter's help, he stages an opening for the new and

improved restaurant, but during opening night Summerhayes reveals that Lucy's body has been released for burial. Ian leaves early with Peter

to see her, but is unable to due to his grief. He wants to organise the funeral for as soon as possible but discovers that Max and Lucy were

together; Ian angrily attacks Max as he carries Lucy's coffin down the aisle of the church and it is clear that Ian is not coping. Worried, Ian's

best friend Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) believes that he is relying on pills to numb the pain of his grief and she and Ian's employee Carol

    Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) comfort him.

Ian receives texts from Rainie Cross (Tanya Franks) that he hides them from Denise. It is revealed to viewers that he paid Rainie for sex on

the night Lucy died, and, knowing that he has given a false alibi to the police, Rainie demands money to fund her drug addiction. When Ian

cannot pay Rainie, she comes to Walford and tells Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) what Ian did. Patrick confronts Ian and decides to tell

Denise. Ian arranges a surprise trip to see Denise's daughter Libby Fox (Belinda Owusu) in Oxford, and they leave before Patrick can tell

Denise. Patrick suffers a stroke and he is unable to communicate what happened to Denise. Ian meets Rainie at her request but Mick Carter

(Danny Dyer) sees them together. When Ian drives away, Rainie approaches Mick. Mick is arrested and charged for soliciting.

Ian tries to convince Denise to put Patrick in a care home, fearful of his secret. However, he eventually agrees that Patrick can live with them.

Rainie tells Denise the truth, but before he can explain to Denise, Cindy makes a sudden return, already several hours into her labour. Ian

delivers her baby daughter, and agrees that she can live with him. Denise moves out, refusing to forgive Ian for his actions when she discovers

that Patrick knew and that Ian was willing to put Patrick in a care home to keep his secret. Concerned for Ian, Sharon and Phil organise for

him to visit Michelle in America. Ian returns on Sharon's wedding day to try to stop her marrying Phil.

Jane returns with the news that Bobby is missing—he is found on Walford Common—he wants to return to Walford and Jane agrees. She falls

for Ian again and proposes to him at the Christmas Eve carol concert.

    Sharon Watts

Sharon Anne Mitchell (née Watts; previously Rickman) is a fictional character from the BBC One soap opera EastEnders and is played by

Letitia Dean. Sharon is one of EastEnders ' original characters, appearing in the first episode broadcast on 19 February 1985. The character

was created by Tony Holland and Julia Smith, the creators of EastEnders. Sharon was a teenager when the programme began, and is the

adoptive daughter of Den and Angie Watts. Sharon remained a prominent character into the 1990s due to romantic pairings with brothers

Grant (Ross Kemp) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). In a long-running storyline dubbed Sharongate, Sharon, married to Grant, has an

affair with Phil. Grant's discovery of the affair remains one of EastEnders ' highest viewed episodes. Dean quit the role in 1995 after ten years,

with Sharon departing following the breakdown of her marriage.

In 2001, Sharon was reintroduced by producer John Yorke. Dean continued in the role until January 2006, featuring in storylines including the

return of her father Den, thought long dead, in 2003 and a love affair with her adoptive half-brother, Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman), which

ended in his death. Dean departed amidst reports that she was taking a break; however, she did not return until 2012, when executive

producer Bryan Kirkwood announced that he was reintroducing Sharon. She returned on 13 August 2012 in a special week of episodes that

saw Sharon jilting her fiancé John Hewland (Jesse Birdsall) at the altar and turning to Phil Mitchell for help in the safe return of her son, Dennis

Rickman Jr (Harry Hickles). She is one of two original characters in the soap, the other being the longest serving character Ian Beale (Adam

Woodyatt). One of Sharon's first storylines upon her return was the revelation of her painkiller addiction.

Sharon has topped numerous viewer polls suggesting she is one of EastEnders' most favoured characters. Critics have praised the

character's complex progression from teenager to adult, referencing the investment that viewers hold in Sharon, having watched her grow up

on-screen. While Sharon's returns to EastEnders have been welcomed by some critics, others received her comebacks as an indication that

the show's writers and producers had run out of original ideas. Letitia Dean has defended the decision to reintroduce Sharon, suggesting that

long-running dramas such as EastEnders need "old blood".

    Dot Cotton

Dorothy "Dot" Branning (also Cotton) is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera, EastEnders, played by June Brown since 1985. Dot first appeared in EastEnders in July 1985 as the mother of criminal Nick Cotton (John Altman). The character has worked as a launderette assistant for most of that time along with original character Pauline Fowler (Wendy Richard). Dot moved away with her son and his family in

1993. In reality, Brown left the show in 1993, unhappy with the axing of her co star Peter Dean, who played Pete Beale from the shows first episode to early 1993. Brown returned to the role in 1997, and Dot was shown moving back to Albert Square, and has continued since that time. Dot is the second longest-serving character currently appearing in EastEnders, surpassed only by original character Ian Beale (Adam

Woodyatt). In a special episode entitled EastEnders: Dot's Story (2003) a young Dot was played by Tallulah Pitt-Brown in flashbacks. In April 2012, Brown took a six-month break from the show to write her memoirs.[3] Dot temporarily departed on 18 May 2012. She returned on 14

    January 2013.[4][5]

A tragicomic character, Dot is known for her devout Christian faith, gossiping, chain smoking, hypochondria, and motherly attitude to those in

need. A recurring storyline in the serial has been Dot's continuous forgiveness of her son's villainous crimes. Initially married at the start of the

series to conman Charlie Cotton (Christopher Hancock), Dot married again in 2002 to pensioner Jim Branning (John Bardon) and the union

proved to be popular with fans. Brown and Bardon won awards for their screen partnership. On 31 January 2008, Dot became the first

character ever to appear in a monologue episode of a British soap. The acclaimed episode saw Dot reminiscing about her years of loss and

grief into a tape recorder as a message to her ailing husband Jim. Dot has been used to explore topical and controversial issues such as

    euthanasia, cancer, immigration and homophobia.

Dot has been generally well received by critics; she has been referred to as a cultural archetype and Brown has won multiple awards for her

portrayal. However, aspects of the character such as her smoking and her religious beliefs have been criticised, with religious groups

suggesting Dot's faith is used in a pejorative manner. The character has also made an impact on popular culture; she has been spoofed, most

notably by Alistair McGowan, and has been credited as inspiration for catwalk collections

    Nick Cotton

Nicholas Charles "Nick" Cotton is a fictional character from the British soap opera EastEnders played by John Altman on a recurring basis

    from the soap's debut episode in February 1985, in seven separate stints (1985 to 1987, 1989 to 1991, 1993, 1998, 2000 to 2001, 2008 to

2009 and from 2014 until the character demise in 2015). Nick is the son of characters Charlie (Christopher Hancock) and Dot Cotton (June

Brown), and the father of Charlie (Declan Bennett), Ashley (Frankie Fitzgerald) and Dotty Cotton (Molly Conlin). His storylines have seen him

commit the murder of Reg Cox in 1985 and Eddie Royle in 1991, succumb to a heroin addiction, his racism, his attempts to poison his own

mother, unintentionally causing the death of his son Ashley and conspiring to fake his own death. On 29 July 2014, it was confirmed that

Altman would return and Nick appeared on-screen again on 24 October 2014.

On February 13th Nick collapsed in his mothers arms.

    Silent Tracey

Tracey[19][20] (known to fans as Tracey the barmaid[21]) is a recurring character played by Jane Slaughter. She has appeared since the first

episode on 19 February 1985, where she is seen working on the flower stall in Bridge Street Market.[22] She is the longest-serving female

    member of the cast.

Tracey starts working as a barmaid at The Queen Victoria public house, in 1989. Her existence is largely to provide somebody to man the bar

while one of the main characters resolves disputes, arguments or disagreements, or tends to the main plot of the episode. Despite featuring

on the television programme frequently and occasionally having a line to say, her surname and most of her details are unknown. She has also

featured in a few minor storylines. As well as being a barmaid, Tracey owns a flower stall on Bridge Street market. Her stall is regularly robbed

by new characters who steal flowers for people they are meeting. She employs workers whilst she does shifts in the pub, including Ina Foot

(Ina Clare) and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright). Tracey becomes good friends with Debbie Bates (Nicola Duffett), and is godmother to her

daughter Clare Bates (Gemma Bissix). Tracey is often seen to be pleased at the prospect of additional overtime in The Queen Victoria when

a Mitchell family wedding or other event is planned as she can always do with extra money.

On 14 April 2003 Tracey has a one-night stand with Dennis Rickman (Nigel Harman), the adoptive half-brother of former pub owner Sharon

Watts (Letitia Dean), when he arrives in Albert Square, despite the fact that she is married. The day after, he returns her knickers to her

publicly over the bar. In 2005, Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) breaks into the pub with a crowbar and Tracey discovers her, asking her to leave.

Sam knocks Tracey out with the crowbar and drags her, unconscious, into the bathroom, locking her in. She goes downstairs to unearth the

body of Den Watts (Leslie Grantham) who is buried in the basement, and when the police arrive, Tracey is comforted by Little Mo Mitchell

(Kacey Ainsworth). After Sam is released from prison on bail she apologises to Tracey, but Tracey appears shaken by the ordeal and scared

    of Sam.

On 7 August 2008, Tracey opens up when Sean Slater (Robert Kazinsky) questions why she is so quiet. She says she wants to keep herself

to herself because she thinks that the Mitchells are all "stark raving mad" and that she does not fear any new barmaids as she had seen them

come and go but she knows that she will always be behind the bar. She goes on to say that whoever lives in the pub is "cursed" in her opinion

and that they will never be able to live happily together.

In March 2009, Archie Mitchell (Larry Lamb) makes Tracey a cleaner at The Queen Victoria, and she is pleased for the extra money. She

attends Peggy Mitchell's (Barbara Windsor) hen party and Peggy and Archie's wedding on 2 April. On 16 April 2009, Shirley Carter (Linda

Henry) accuses Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) of drinking again. However, Phil covers this up by saying that he had broken a bottle of

alcohol earlier, and Tracey backs him up. On 28 April 2009, Tracey answers the phone to Minty Peterson (Cliff Parisi) questioning Phil's

whereabouts from the night before. Tracey tells Phil about having to talk to the bank about some money issues. Following that, Phil pressures

Tracey into talking about her feelings, supposedly for him, mentioning her husband in the process. Finally, she appears again towards the end

of the episode wanting to help Ben Mitchell (Charlie Jones) get to school as Phil is too drunk to assist him. Phil, flirting with Tracey, tells her

that her husband will not mind.

On 30 April 2009, she finds Heather Trott's (Cheryl Fergison) lost inhaler. On 30 July, she phones in with a back injury, and Peggy says it was

unlike her to skive so it must be serious. Dot Branning (June Brown) describes Tracey as the person who "sees everything but says very little."

On 8 September 2009, Peggy tells Sam (now Danniella Westbrook) that Tracey still holds a grudge against her. On 26 November Tracey

covers for both Peggy and Phil when bailiffs ask for them, by pretending she is just a barmaid from an agency and does not know them. She

then informs Ben he needs to tell Phil that the bailiffs are looking for him and want to repossess his car. On 24 December, Archie Mitchell and

Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) take over the pub, ousting Peggy and her family. Tracey is unhappy with the way Archie and Janine treated

Peggy and the rest of the Mitchell family, and the straw that broke the camel's back comes the next day when Janine tells Tracey to put some

tinsel in her hair and asks her to keep an eye on the Christmas dinner. Tracey leaves a note saying "Gone fishing", implying that she resigned.

The next day, Tracey is present when Ronnie Mitchell (Samantha Womack) is arrested on suspicion of Archie's murder, and looks shocked.

She also attends Jean Slater's (Gillian Wright) birthday party on 11 January 2010. When Mo Harris (Laila Morse) opens a betting circle on the

identity of Archie's killer, she lists Tracey as the rank outsider, giving her the nickname "Silent Assassin".

On 18 January 2010, Tracey appears behind the bar in a non-speaking capacity for The Queen Victoria's reopening. On 22 January, the pub's

new owner, Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons), gives Tracey a warning for arriving two hours late, but Peggy explains that she asked her to come in

late as she has done a lot of unpaid overtime recently. Later, Roxy sacks Tracey because she wants the pub to have younger bar staff. Peggy

demands that Roxy beg Tracey to come back for the evening shift as workers like Tracey are 'gold dust'. Peggy tells Tracey on the phone that

she is not sacked but Tracey hangs up. Tracey decides to take Roxy to an unfair dismissal tribunal, so Roxy says she will audition a new

barmaid, giving Tracey a chance but making sure she loses. However, when Roxy realises she does not know how to run a pub, she gives

Tracey her job back. Tracey suggests a curry night, and Roxy is happy to leave Tracey in charge of it, saying it is the most she has ever heard

her speak. On that same day, viewers find out that Tracey and Shirley Carter are good friends. In March 2010, Billie Jackson (Devon

Anderson) holds up The Queen Victoria, asking Tracey for cash and saying he has a gun. She fills his bag with cash but Phil takes it off her. In

September 2010, following the fire at The Queen Victoria, Tracey starts working at Ian Beale's (Adam Woodyatt) fish and chip shop. The next

month, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) offers Tracey her old job back at The Queen Victoria, along with Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner), after he

    reopens the pub.

In January 2011, during a conversation with Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace), it is revealed that Tracey has a son who lives with his father, as she

and her husband have split up. When David Wicks (Michael French) returned for his mother, Pat's, funeral, he comments to his daughter

Bianca Butcher (Patsy Palmer) that he was amazed Tracey was still working in The Vic, which prompted Bianca to say that Tracey was one of

the few things in the world that was reliable. Tracey's next appearance in speech was on Thursday 14 June 2012, she gave Jean her job back

on the flower stall. However Tracey later sacks Jean after she rows with customers Michael Moon (Steve John Shepherd) and Janine Butcher.

In August 2012, after Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) announces to the customers in The Vic that Sharon has returned, only Tracey greets her

and meets her son Dennis Rickman Jr.

In December 2013, Phil sells the pub to Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and when Tracey arrives to work her shift, Mick's wife, Linda Carter (Kellie

Bright) tells her that she is not wanted anymore. Shirley witnesses this and tells Linda that Tracey is like part of the furniture at the Vic and she

is then later seen when she and Linda become friends and she resumes her job at The Vic. In April 2014, the market merges with Spring Lane

Market and this brings in a new florist, Pam Coker (Lin Blakely), however when discussing the competition with Alfie, Pam states she has no

competition. This implies Tracey no longer runs a flower stall.

    Flip me....DS keeps crashing :(

My only problem with it was Lauren ( again ) I just think she comes across really stupid with pretty much everything she says. Why did they make her the one to work things out ?

Please so tell me why it's disjointed? So far, most things add up and lots of secrets will be revealed tomorrow, I imagine.

Are you actually moaning about characters interrupting a big reveal?-_- All soaps do this... Again, it's called building tension! I can't even cope with some of these whiney comments!:D

You have to accept some criticism without being so childish

Eastenders has been very good this year. So far the live episodes have been a bit of a let down. One interruption to stop a reveal is ok but the constant stream of them in the last few episodes has been jarring.

Also the acting hasn't been great so far with actors stumbling over words and saying the wrong name.

Not to mention odd character moments like Sharon standing next to Ian whilst her husband who has been missing stands at the other side of the bar. Neither of them acknowledging each other (I know they did after but it seemed quite bizarre that they would wait through the whole wedding, the walk to the bar and the speeches before speaking)

I expect it to pick up tomorrow but you'll need to grow up a little and accept that not all criticism is whiney, it's justified

I really enjoyed June Browns monologue at the end. Not sure just how long she can continue to work as it must be tremendously tiring for someone of her advanced years. IMO she is the main jewel in the EE crown

I think the live parts are negatively affecting the episodes. Like last night's, tonight's ep felt cobbled together and didn't flow very well.

Agreed. DTC's overrated ass has made a mess out of it. Lauren Branning's pathetic flip floping, Dot's lovely and extremely pointless, cheesy monolouge. Just pointlessly stretching it out now.

I'd rather watch a 2 hour block....I can't wait any more. It feels really really slowed down. I'm too impatient now.

Sorry but can people just realise that nobody is complaining that Lucy's killer wasn't revealed. We all know that is tomorrow. Just like we all already knew last night that Abi was a red herring. Nothing new AT ALL was brought to the table tonight.

I think it's reasonable that in a week of drama promising live twists and turns throughout that each episode will surpass the last on that front. Especially considering we've really found out sod all over the space of ten months, and had endless cliffhangers and red herrings that led nowhere, they surely can at least give us one explosive week of revelations leading to the killer being exposed? In fact, even a non-Lucy twist would suffice i.e. Phil suddenly dropping his demand to speak to Ian after his kitchen entrance which had us all so intrigued last night - likely so whatever he has to say can be left until another live scene in a couple of eps time.

Disappointed fan over here, and I and like-minded posters should feel free to do so without being patronised, cheers. This is a discussion forum, y'know, for differing opinions? If you can't handle those and cannot discuss, get to the Appreciation section and praise to your heart's content!

Too much cannot be revealed in each scene as it has been built up that nobody can work it out until the end. That is the whole point..
