Well you could try and get a bookie to take that bet as you would get good odds but its not all that important - I have been going for the past 35 years { and not missed any } and there is many years I never see any of the main acts.
I'm sure there'll be a lot of bigger acts to be announced soon. A few obvious names are lacking, such as Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding and Katy B.
They shouldn't have mainstream artists there imo. Most people that attend Glastonbury (or festivals in general) are rock fans, and they don't like that kind of music. Look what happened when Jay-Z was there.
Looking at the Wikipedia article, they had a few pop/dance/R&B acts there last year (Dizzee Rascal, Professor Green, Rita Ora, Laura Mvula, Chase & Status, Example, Azealia Banks, Public Enemy, Major Lazer, Maverick Sabre). So maybe there'll be another 10 or so mainstream artists there again, but I don't see the point of having any tbh.

Glastonbury is not known solely as a rock festival. That's what festivals like Download and Sonisphere are for. Glastonbury to me, and I'm sure many others, should have variety seeing as it's one of the biggest and most publicised festivals in the world, and certainly the biggest in the UK.
Music has evolved since Glastonbury began. The rock music market isn't as big as it used to be. And line ups should reflect that in some ways. I'm not saying Glastonbury should go down the V Fest route and essentially become a pop festival, but it shouldn't adhere to the snobbery that so many rock fans seem to adhere to.

'The Who are past it, the sixties are over. Time for them to make way for One Direction.'

It's a great word to use when it feels entirely appropriate. From its beginnings as a retaliation against and rejection of the commercialised, big-business side of the music industry, Glastonbury seems to be turning into little more than a big PR exercise for manufactured acts that seem to exist mainly as figureheads for ad campaigns.
