I didn't love Connie but I did think she was a great character. I particularly disliked her that time Ric was DOS and he had promised to step down for her after 6 months and them "forgot" to do so. She was vile to him over that (even though he probably deserved it!!)
I DID love her friendship with Elliot, I think he brought out the best in her, and I think Darwin misses her. I had hoped they would allow Jac to fill her shoes (Connie even sent her a pair!) but first we got Sahira taking over and now its the transplant team.
I don't think Serena is in Connie's league just yet, but she has only just started. Her troublesome daughter turns up next week so we may get to see a more human side to her then.
I was thinking that. I am sure the PTSD symptoms will kick in shortly though......
I have to say physically he is doing well, I had sepsis like he did the other week and it took me about 3 months to get over the surgery and illness. I am sure he would have taken a bit of sick leave off work to recover from the surgery at least! He can't be that hard up!!

Yes, I had forgotten that, she was good there. As to biting my tongue, it is very painful with ulcers at the moment and I have just had a biopsy on it, so I don't think biting it is a good idea.
Is there any chance Serena will leave asap? She's making Keller unbearable to watch. Just give Ric the time Serena has and tell her to go audition for something tedious and dull like Eastenders.
I like the new transplant team though. I expect the pregnant lady (forgot her name) will pop during Jac's absence. Maybe while in theatre or something? To make it dramatic and last an episode.

Am I the only one that thought that was a bit of a surreal, dreamlike episode? Especially as they spent so much time outside of the hospital for a change, it felt at times more like Casualty. Good though, I love the night shift ones.
The Tara/Ollie storyline was great. Completely ridiculous and unbelievable but fun anyway, and I'm happy that we seem to be going somewhere with her background unlike Malick and Luc, who, as well-written and acted as they are, remain completely mysterious. An Eliott cameo at the end with him saving the day topped it off nicely.
Brilliant to see Ric on top form rather than badly written as a grumpy git. I liked the references to Leo, and his interaction with Serena, who as a character is growing on me. The old school lot like Ric really are the ones who keep the show going and there should be more character-driven episodes for them.
Finally, Chantelle again had most of the funny moments but at the same time, keeps getting these 3rd tier storylines where she's lumped with the resident patient weirdo for comedy. I wouldn't mind seeing her do something a bit different, but that happens rarely.
Still, a great episode for focusing on characters who haven't really taken centre stage much over the past few months. Enjoyed it a lot.
Tonight's episode didn't really grab me. Whilst I don't dislike any of the new characters (not yet anyway!), they haven't been in long enough for me to care a great deal about them and this episode was almost entirely focused on them. It was also frustrating for so many of the characters to not follow protocol. I know it's quite a regular occurrence on Holby, but it just felt like it was laid on a bit heavy tonight.
It was good to see more depth to Serena, although I wouldn't be surprised if her daughter is soon forgotten about. Ric was also more rounded than he sometimes can be. I'm vaguely interested to know what Tara's "secret" is, but I found the transplant storyline quite predictable and over the top. It was quite strange to see so much set outside of the hospital. Sounds odd, but I did enjoy the cinematography. It was also nice to see Chantelle have a bit more to do.
Oh, and does anyone know the piece of piano music that played towards the end of the episode, the one that played over the speeded up scenes?
I thought the episode was more enjoyable than the episodes we've seen in the last four weeks. I liked that we had some scenes outside. It was nice for a change. The rainy backdrop gave the episode a dramatic and tense feel. It made for a fast paced episode. I liked Tara determination to help her patient. I hope they don't go down the romance route with Tara and Ollie. It would be so predictable.

I thought with Jac out for 6 weeks we might have got a bit more of Elliot.

I maybe in a minority but I love the AAU team especially Luc and Eddie relationship, not sure if they have a proper one. I just love the sparring dialogue. Got to say Luc is so fit.
I am so glad that Sacha survived and Michael Spence is very funny.
I thought ' Last night on earth' episode was good with some mystery secret Tara is hiding. It was better than last week.
BTW, next episode is to do with Legionaires disease outbreak, that is so surreal with the 'real' news about the outbreak in Edinburgh today. Does anyone think so ?
boring or what this episode. Am I right in thinking mr end of the world patient played the copper in Thin Blue Line and Gimme Gimme Gimme? He's put some weight old - middle age spread I suppose.

I don't even know if they've been on that holiday yet; not even sure that the nutty nurse will be seen again. I do like chantelle but she's starting to get just too sickly for me now. It might have something to do with the way they keep panning in right up close with her face!
Don't like the transplant co-ordinator and I don't think he is suited to Jac Naylor, she needs to be with someone with more power and presence. I still can't take to Tara I think she is a terrible actress. A watchable episode for me last night it didn't drag on like some episodes.

I enjoyed Serena with Ric too, I didn't think I'd ever like her but I did last night. Yes, the whole episode was highly unrealistic, but that's Holby! I like Tara, can't see, sorry hear! anything wrong with her voice? And it's about time Ollie got some action, he's been single a long time.
