Already off to a bad start. I do NOT want the continuity announcer telling me that this is the greatest thing since sliced bread and set to be this or that. (1) you're not my mate who knows me and what I like and (2) I'd like to make my own mind up about it, thanks.

    why what did he say?

She. Something about get ready for a great piece of original British drama that's set to be the award winning something or other.

When they start bigging something up, it usually means it's mediocre but expensive.

Surprised no-one (here or in the promos beforehand) hasn't mentioned the similarities to the McCann case.

James Nesbitt himself mentioned the case in an interview.

It was the first thing I thought when I heard about this drama. Only difference is how the child was taken/became missing, the age and sex of the child. I think they will want to make as different as possible.

Missing child in a foreign country
    Child not found
    Seemingly disappeared into thin air
Parent returns years later to the country to find the truth

Bearing in mind the similarities with the unsolved McCann case, it will be particularly interesting to see how this ends.

The year in which the child goes missing is supposedly set in 2006, yet when Nesbitt was at the pub watching the football it showed Ronaldo with his infamous half-moon haircut which he sported in the 2002 WC not the 2006 WC...
