Statements already out from Cameron and the Queen. Will be interesting to see how Miliband and Labour respond and whether they can keep their MPs under control

Hoping all Labour supporters will respond with dignity + respect to news of Baroness Thatcher's death. Our thoughts with her family+ friends
I just hope people are respectful to her passing instead of being insulting. Whilst we may disagree with a lot of what she did there was also some good, and we should not celebrate peoples deaths.
There is no such thing as death.
I'm celebrating the fact that she will now have her eyes opened to all the hurt she caused throughout her vindictive, money-orientated life.
Perhaps now, at long last, she will become a decent soul.
Evil? Really?
As a woman, I see her as a good role model, someone who made it through an incredibly male dominated era and lead the country. Other than the queen there hasn't been another woman quite so powerful and influential.
I am with you. Whilst I hate what she did when she got the power.... by God what a formidable and strong willed woman.
This is the first time a PM has died in my lifetime so not sure what or how it will be shown on the t.v. Will there be nothing but programmes about her etc.. Or will it all be on the News channel.?
R.I.P. Margaret Thatcher.
Its says a lot about her impact - that you have no memory of Jim Callaghan (who died 7 years ago) or Harold Wilson who died in 1995.
I definately don't think she should have a state funeral, it would be too divisive.
So was Churchill.
Thatcher deserves a state funeral, nothing less would do.
Similarly I wouldn't think it wrong in principle for Blair to have one, bearing in mind the impact he had on the UK. But of course it would be divisive too.
I was against the ladies policies but its not the right time or place to discuss this as others are doing, don't agree with people who want to trash her today - it's not cool.

God rest her soul-less body as it rots in the ground.
Bollox.
The most destructive PM this Country has had.
I think I shall avoid the News programmes for the rest of the day - there will be nothing worthwhile on.

I could never vote for the Conservatives, but I hope the DS brigade keep their dignity
:D:D
My sentiments as well.
Guardian comments has gone into meltdown.
That would be truly fitting.
But I will NOT feel joy at her passing nor would I at anyone's passing,
My sympathy to her family,
God bless the miners and God bless the working class,
if Osborne and Cameron can use the death of SIX innocent children to make a political point, then I have no hesitation in doing the same,
What did you expect. She's a politician not royalty
That's my attitude too. She possibly deserves one but it would just be asking for trouble from the usual suspects. Better to keep it private.
I don't recall Callaghan or Heath having one, and they've both died in the past decade.
why? are you still 6 years old?

That's an easy thing to do if you have a millionaire husband to bankroll you.
