Having a trip to Liverpool and wondered what the best way to get to this is, it says there's a tram to the museum from Woodside Ferry Terminal, would this be where you'd end up if you got on a mersey ferry from the other side?
I thought the tramway had been closed but it seems not, so yes you arrive there from Woodside Ferry terminal. The trams used to run every 30 mins on the hour and half hour. I'd 'phone them to check the times though.
There's been an annual transport show for the last 15 years on the 1st or 2nd Sunday in October. You might find that more exciting. Here's the 2012 festival on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA8Kap9gY8U
If you mean the Wirral Transport Museum, yes it is. (There's a transport collection in the Museum of Liverpool Museum too. That one's also by the ferry, but at Pier Head on the Liverpool side.)
The tram is part of the museum, and I think it only runs at weekends. But it's only about 400 yards from the ferry to the museum, so a 5 minute gentle stroll.

It's moved to Taylor Street.
