This is from the SIDS website:
Head Covering.
Make sure your baby’s head remains uncovered during sleep. Babies are at an increased risk for SIDS if their head becomes covered during sleep.
Avoid using a blanket or other covering over your baby’s face as a sun or weather screen, or to block out distractions or sounds while your baby is sleeping. The blanket will cause a build-up of exhaled air around the baby’s face. This exhaled air does not have enough oxygen, which can lead to a SIDS or suffocation death.
So not really a good idea to use a blanket as a weather shield to cover a babys face !
Lion ..great advice..but that isn't the point in this case.. The blanket wasn't on his face... Had NO contact with his face and the blanket allows air through it
P.s. look up jack Osbourne ,Kim Kardashians and a few others ..they have also covered their child with a blanket the same way Katie has and millions of others do...
Looks like you're the one giving parenting tips, not KP.
Well that may be the case... I also advise people to look both ways before crossing a road....
But you shouldn't cover car seats / baby's with blankets...
and while I am at it... babies shouldn't be given sweets (when I was 3 years old I tried sharing my sweets with my three month old cousin - not a good idea!) well so much for been brainwashed into sharing eh!:D
To be honest you should never cover a baby's face with a blanket!
You can get rain covers for car seats to protect them from the elements that do not obstruct a baby's breathing, I would never have dreamed of covering my baby like that...
More parenting tips from KP eh... I wonder if she is planning to produce a KP guide to motherhood?

No covering on the baby at all! The covering goes over the handle away from the baby, you can see in the pic that the blanket is against the contour of the car seat much closer to the baby's face
She just has to get a pop at an ex yet again ..absolutely no need to mention him, any dig and distaste at him just reinforces what a desperate moron she is for repeatedly dragging home these strangers that she doesn't know from Adam and installing them in her kids home...and she continues to do it.
That repulses me far, far more than anything he did.
Frankly I think covering a baby so it can not be readily seen is a risk not worth taking and especially not when it's part of her ridiculous lies and fabrications.
A few posed smiley photos certainly haven't convinced me that there's been a huge change in Katie, especially after her nasty tweet about Alex only this morning but each to their own. I'm glad there's now an appreciation thread for people to share their rosy views

can you see the difference between the two pictures - look at the covering and the handle... now which one is safer -
Disclaimer : I do not promote the use of any website or brand of car seat cover, just make sure it has a kite mark to certify its safety - although perhaps if KP tweets this information she might get another freebee!

IF I needed advice on how to cover a baby, I wouldn't be looking for it on a thread dedicated to slagging off KP.
You've now advertised the same covering twice.
I cannot see how it is relevant, unless you are on some kind of commission.

I won't be joining any appreciation thread any time soon; I just think that maybe she has grown up a bit and don't see a reason to diss her per se. (I freely admit that this is a change in tack for me as I used to vociferously slag her off just for existing:D
I will be happily proven wrong if she starts her old tricks again. I don't follow her on twitter so will rely on others to check that for me.

Well as the discussion was about KP and how she covered her baby up I think it was on topic
again.. I have no affiliation to any online shopping websites or manufactures of baby car seat / coverings... I am not on commission, just providing an explanation for my criticism of KPs car seat covering...
If you are looking for people to criticise for profiteering from baby merchandise.. didn't KP herself retweet and promote a specific baby product Jett was sleeping in? linking to their website - coincidence eh... given she was tweeting in a manner that suggested she was in the market for some freebies a few weeks ago...

You do refer a lot to the court case. And, to the objective eye, seem to have a lot of investment in it.

It wasn't even a weather shield either. You can tell from the lubbalubba gruesome twosome that they are dressed for warm weather, and nor are her new hair extensions taking any abuse from a breeze.Nor has the blanket been dislodged .
It stands to reason that covering a baby's face when it is allegedly recovering from breathing difficulties is a bad idea.
Not that it matters in this case ,since there is no baby under that blanket in my opinion.
They must have mentioned that they had a doctors appointment to the photographers as these seem to be there rather than near her house!
Oh so there were more than one picture, it was in a public place, and it was splash news who are well known for hanging around/following celebrities - so potentially it may not have been set up though we do not know for sure admittedly.
Glad we have established that and the last days discussion was totally false.

No idea - I am an utterly Twitter free zone.
I'm not sure what you mean by "tweeting in a manner that suggested she was in the market for some freebies"
Did she actually ask for anything?
Or are you just interpreting what you think she might have been doing?
My opinion is, in my eyes she's not done much to criticise lately & in comparison to how she used to live her life, she has been relatively quiet.
She seems very contented with Kieran & maybe that contentment is having a positive effect on her.
lol... that's like saying Poll Pot, he used to kill millions of his people, but now he only shoot peasant's on Sundays!
Only a couple of months ago she targeted Kelly Brook, and Danny Cipriani in fact if reports are to be believed.. even from her hospital bed (assuming she inputs into her column). She was married then!
If that's the case, the pap would have sold the photos to an agency, which Closer would then have purchased the chosen photo from...and they wouldn't have been able to claim the photo was an 'exclusive'.

Well in theory it is yeah, but...
What does this have to do with KP?
Or are you just giving this company some free advertising?
So? What's your point?
Should I just ignore Lion's posts and not comment on them?
My thoughts exactly Sam:)
