A thread to post a query and see if anyone knows the answer.

If a player scores and takes their shirt off they get booked.

Anyone know if a player has ever been sent off for two celebration bookings?

Seeing as though there are threads about Chinese and Japanese football here is a question.

Are there any Indian/British Indian footballers in any of the top leagues?

Well Liverpool signed an Indian youth international named Yan Dhanda (thank you, Google), the first Indian player we've ever signed.

I remember agreeing to manage India on FIFA a few years ago...don't think I'll do that again. :p

Michael Chopra, started at Newcastle then mostly bounced around the lower leagues... He had an Indian parent... Had a lot of promise as a youngster...

Bury had one of the he first Indian players to play in the English game......Baichung Bhuttia played 37 times for the Shakers and scored 3 goals 1999-2002

He played 104 times for India and scored 40 goals between 1995 and 2011

Bury also had another Indian player, Harpal Singh, who played 40 games in 3 different loan spells, 2001-2005

He was on Leeds books for 5 years at that time but never played for the first team

Depends what you class as a top league. Danny Batth at Wolves is of Asian descent.

1966 is a famous year for English football but here's a question that stumped me.

Football: Which team won the English first division title in 1966?

Follow up question: Additionally, which team won the FA Cup?

    I guessed Spurs for both.
Do you know off the top of your head? No cheating now :D

Definitely not Spurs - 1961 was their year in the Sixties. I'd have guessed the likes of Fulham and West Ham. Trying to think who had the big players back then but it's before my time (actually born late '66!)

Of course, Liverpool won the league that season, some team that plays in blue somehow managed to win the FA Cup.

Fulham spent a few years in Division 1 during the early and mid 60s but they were never more than a mid table team, then they went back down to Div 2 in the late 60s

I have a query, I'm struggling to find the answer.

Who was the last team to win the FA Cup having only beaten top flight sides along the way, and which year was it?

i know the answer used to be Man United in 1948. Not sure if anyone has done it in the last 15 yrs or so as not paid that much attention.

Cheers Stewie. Just done a bit more research and it looks like Man United in 1948 is still the last time it was done.
