Just seen that the Bolton Chairman for many years has died at the relatively young age of 63

He guided Bolton through a very successful period of 11 years in the top flight and 2 European campaigns and the new stadium

got the impression he loved the game first and foremost and didn't see it as a gearing leverage opportunity or whatever the Biz-Jargon is

RIP

I'm not so sure he loved the game first and foremost, as the suggestion of doing away with relegation smacks of pulling up the ladder once your are at the top a tad.

Helped bring some good times to Bolton - just a shame it turned sour for them as a club at the end.

    Must be stress-related.

He had cancer. Not sure you can relate it to stress.

RIP. He always wanted the best for Bolton despite the financial situation clouding many fans views of him in the end.
