I'm sure this is Gary Davis voice for the new album Candy Candy? So he's still around.

"Ooooh Gary Davis on the radio."

Some parts of it sound like him but other parts don't. Couldn't say for sure.

I don't think it's him. As someone's already stated, it sounds like him in parts, but in others not and without that consistency I'd be inclined to say it's not his voice.

I think if the producer of the commercial wanted the familiarity of Gary Davies' voice then they'd have made sure there was no doubt it sounded just like him with some reference to his time on Radio 1.

The voiceover in that advert pronounces "one" to rhyme with "gone". The Gary Davis in this clip pronounces it to rhyme with "fun". Maybe his accent might have changed over the years. It does sound like a different voice in the two clips.

I'm quite sure it's him, but there is another radio presenter who sounds exactly the same as Gary Davies, as others have said, and that is Richard Allinson but I don't think it's him, I think that really is Gary Davies. Not so young, but maybe still free and single?

After all, Gary Davies was doing the lunchtime Radio 1 show on Tuesday's when the charts were revealed at the time many of the songs on this album were hits in the 80's.

You can definitely hear Northern vowels.
    I wouldn't be a 100% sure it's Gary Davies, though I think it is.
It's not Richard Allinson, though... pacing is far more like GD.

Now, I'm back to getting on with my life...

I would say it is Gary Davis, and given the time period the songs on the album seem to be from, it would make sense to be him as a tie in.

Agree. Sound like two people. Could be an ironic mix of RA and GD?
