Cheggars should be on TV more...

It's great seeing Keith Chegwin on GMTV occasionally doing the doorstep compos, but it's about time he was given more airtime. My 15-month-old daughter laughs every time he comes on screen. It's good having someone on TV who is genuinly pleased to be there

    Awww that's so sweet!!

I agree, Cheggars has been around for years and really he should be doing a decent show instead of that rubbish on GMTV.

You do realise he has been on TV over 35 years now.

He was 50 on 17th January - in other words far too old to be titting about the way he does on GmTV.

I wish he'd have some dignity and retire - I don't want to see him on prime time in anything.

I'm pleased that is one program I missed, EGAD!!

Tell you something that not many people know, he was a child actor, he was in "The Tomorrow people" back in the 70's, mind you so did Ex Blue Peter presenter Peter Duncan.

Cheggers was also in the pilot episode of Open All Hours, back in 1973.

Cheggers can appear as much as he likes on my TV - so long as he keeps his shrivelled little weiner to himself:eek:

Cheggers is one of the most irritating men on tv at the moment. His voice annoys the living day lights out of me and when he comes on the television I change channels to BBC. Cant stand him.

Maybe I was in my sleep without realising.

I guess it's just nice seeing a chirpy chappy after having to see that tortoise-faced Fiona beforehand. But, I agree, he must keep his little pork soldier to himself. There's really nothing to brag about with that.

50 certainly isn't old, but he does demean himself on GMTV - it all hints at desparation to be on TV still.

    No, 50's not old.
That comes from a woman who's 52 on Friday!;) :o

But he's too old to be acting the prat at 50.

    LOL - I did not! :p

I saw him when I was watching the first episode of Open All Hours on DVD.....actually, that's more embarrassing than looking it up on the IMDB. :o:D

Sorry to be a party pooper but I can't stand him on GMTV! He annoys me so much and I have to put the mute on when he comes on and turn away. Grrr! I'm glad he;s not on anymore
