Roger Moore - newspaper coughs up damages.

Last September the Sunday People ran an 'exclusive interview' which never took place, with Roger Moore.
The Daily Mail ran the false quotes the next day, 17 September, and the Daily Star and New both ran stories on 18 September.

The Sunday People agreed to pay undisclosed damages to Moore in January.

Despite the fact the Sunday People admitted two months ago that Moore did not give the interview to one of its reporters and “did not make the comments”, the Daily Mail, Daily Star and New issued clarifications only yesterday.

Will heads roll at the Sunday People, Daily Mail, Daily Star and New? If not why not?

Proof positive that journalism has lost it's way. I should imagine that a lot of the low end newspapers pick up pieces from other rags and run the story as their own. Sheer laziness.

Yes, there should be repercussions. I hope there will be.
