Like last time I think they put the Stug and Brendan/Walker scenes in the same episode because I think they know that most of us do not like the idea. And they know most will watch if Brendan is in the episode so they put it in one to makes us happy (Brendan) and to force us to warm up to summat we dont really agree with (Stug)
This whole weeks been pretty impressive when it comes to that.
I can imagine him just sensing something between them (if he knows he's gay, that is. Which I'm guessing he does.) He seems perceptive and intelligent. I think he'd think their interactions are a bit odd, perhaps. And put two and two together after some probing.
