Eurovision is exhausting me this year. Not a great contest I think. Atmosphere in the hall has been very subdued it sounds like as not many non-natives have travelled.
The Liverpool logic that they we're always going to pay £15m less for Carroll than the transfer for Torres gets me every time.
As soon as the words "net spend" enters the argument you might as well give up and go home.
Never in any other walk of life has such an irrelevant stat been used to defend utter financial carnage as it has in football and in particular Liverpool FC.
You cannot, and MUST NEVER use Andy Caroll as the benchmark for anything!!!!
Something went badly wrong there - I call it "Bebe syndrome".
It must never be used to determine the value of anything. We must simply accept that the people who sign the cheques sometimes fall and land on their heads.
Why not just call it the "Lentini Syndrome"?
£12 million for him in 1992, would be like £60 or so million today!;)
I can see us struggling to offload Nani at a price that is suitable for all parties. Some United fans seem to think he's some global superstar on that echelon marginally below Ronaldo and Messi. but I don't see ANYONE breaking the bank, or even bothering going to the bank in the first place, for Nani. I hope I'm wrong.
To be honest I don't see us off-loading him at all...
let's just wait for the Euros to finish and see how he does there...

It is just, that they are desperate to find, something, anything, that will turn the fact that they have wasted soooo much money, into a positive, that they cling onto that "net spend", arguenment for their lives!
He can score 11 goals in the Euro's, it changes nothing.
I'm not saying I want us to keep him... I don't... but I really don't think we'll off-load him. Fergie likes him and I can't think where the market would be for him... Juventus maybe?

Im not that sure SAF likes him tbh. I think he sees what he offers when we have no alternative.

I'm sure he said he was in contract talks for a new deal.
The last i saw was he could be going on loan to another club before he had even signed for Juve! They want to punt him as a make-weight for another midfielder.
I dunno the truth of that though cos i wasn't really that interested in the story.

How will we tell the difference?

Nothing yet for Engelbert Humperdink, what a surprise. lol
He smashed his porsche and totally ****ed up his balance. At least we have a reason for that!
Id empty the pennies jar I put my copper in, that about it.

I hope it goes as well as Pogba.
Yes, but still even before that, he wasn't worth the huge figure that Milan payed for him!
Does anyone know what the latest is with Pogba??
daily mail reports every day that he is going to Juve.
I'm yet to see anything official though.
I thought he signed a new contract in March... hence me thinking he won't be off-loaded.
Still no official news that he has gone to Juventus, still up in the air I guess.

He can go.
