With all the stabbings and beheadings in that show, will Sky follow the decent example set by the BBC and censor the gruesome parts?

Clearly the Radio Times won't, as they have no problem publishing an article that includes a video showing all the gory deaths from Game of Thrones. Lovely.

I've very much doubt it. And why should they?

The BBC are cutting it because it's too soon, rather than because it's too much...

Why would Sky cut Game of Thrones, a show that's known for it's "adult" content and violence (although comments on it's inappropriateness are greatly exaggerated)...

The Walking Dead is just as violent, if not more violent, but DMUK doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Presumably the Daily Mail hasn't gone on about TWD enough to get him riled up about it...

probably not, after all, Dr Who is a family show that is having its first run whilst these atrocities are all over the news.

GoT, on the other hand, is a grown up's TV programme, has already been shown in full including those scenes, and anyone watching the repeats or downloads it on demand knows what to expect.

DMUK's jihad against GOT and HBO continues.

Given that Doctor Who is a tea time, "family" show that is aimed at children as much as adults, and shown on a major free to view channel I'm more surprised that they had a beheading scene in it to begin with.

On the other hand GOT is an 18 rated show, aimed specifically at adults, shown on an encrypted channel, that includes all the sorts of violence that was fairly typical right up to a couple of hundred years ago in the West (and is still unfortunately reasonably common in some parts of the world).

If GOT were to remove all the violence that has real world equivalents I suspect it would be a lot shorter.

Your hatred for GoT is getting petulant now...

Not to mention that Dr Who is a family show shown WAY before 9pm, whereas GoT is an ADULT tv show shown after the watershed and therefore does not and will never need to be edited!!!
    The end! Close thread!

These are just some of DMUK's anti-HBO/GoT threads....
