LOL - much of that list was debunked the last time you posted it.
Was it? according to who exactly?
why would I care how many policies the Tories have - the thread is about Ed's call for more substance in politics.
well done on trying to change the subject to the Tories though. ;-)
Sorry? I am not trying to "change the subject"
the title of the thread is,
"There's more to politics than photo opportunities" - Ed Milliband

    You responded with,

Perhaps he should take his own advice and come up with some policies then?

so I provided you with 100 Labour party policies, and the fact that you replied by telling me,
"much of that list was debunked the last time you posted it"

Shows that you were already aware of the list, you didn't ask for policies that haven't been debunked by Tory supporters, you suggested that he has no policies, I provided 100, and asked if you could do the same for the Tories,
I assure you I was not trying to divert the subject, I was responding to your comment that seemed to suggest he has no policies,
and as you were suggesting that he has no substance because he has no policies, I merely asked if you could possibly supply an equal amount of 'substance' from the Tories, because if you can't then, debunked or not, by your own definition of "substance" the Tories would have less,

    and?

As I said - the thread is about Ed's call for more substance but for some reason you want to switch the focus on to the Tories who have made no comment at all as far as I am aware.

If a 'policy' like regulating the price of stamps (which have been regulated for as long as I can remember anyway) is what Ed means when he talks about more substance in politics, its hardly surprising if he has an image problem.

    The sound was terrible

That was Ed's voice, nothing to do with the quality of the audio.

Nope, for some reason you want to switch the focus onto your claims that I want to switch the focus,

Its laughable the amount of people saying he's a hypocrite - as a politician he has to take photo opportunities, but saying he hates them doesn't make him a hypocrite as its something he has to do. I hate cleaning up, but I still do it, does that make me a hypocrite or just someone doing something they hate cause its a necessity?

Ed's right. There is more to politics than a good photo opportunity - but Ed's problem isn't that he isn't photogenic - his problem is that his and Ed Balls' economic credentials simply don't wash with the public.

One has to wonder why Ed's making such bleedingly obvious statements....wouldn't be because he knows he's lost the economic argument so is trying for the sympathy vote by any chance would it?

True, and I think rather than saying I shouldn't have bad photos, what he is saying is I don't just have bad photos I also have bad policies

It's the Mail. Let's see it confirmed elsewhere before taking it as fact.

But if it's true - what an utter plonker.

I think ed milliband has basically run out of ideas and telling people not to judge him on eating bacon sandwiches is ridiculous! Especially when he set the scene up purpose.

Having the gaul to treat voters like children and explain his weird isms!! Is worse than the act of being weird!!

Its like the kid at school going to the bully! "I am special my Mum told me" !

And to top it off all of these uncomfortable moments are staged so he can blame him self for looking weird!

He needs lessons on showing people how to be your self and not pretend to be something he is not!

However if he has to pretend to be someone he is not then its a sure bet he should not be our prime minister

If ed milliband wants to appeal to the poor and squeezed middle why doesn't he go and live in a council house for a week. Im sure david cameron would pull a few strings to help!

After the week I think ed milliband would conclude he has nothing in common what so ever with the people he is supposed to care for!

He is telling people he is "normal" when the fact of the matter he is not! He acts, behaves, socialises different to the normal man on the street. He doesn't have to change! But he doesn't fool us trying to be like the man on the street!

Not sure what you mean exactly? You bolded quite a bit of the sentence

If you mean he has bad photos then me holding up a copy of the Sun was one of those days springs to mind.

If you mean the fact that he's claiming to have policies then we have built our policy on serious thinking about how we change our economy

In respect to the policies being bad I factored in Banks bad; poor good; tax the rest; rupert murdoch boo; deep thinker honest; from the speech with the list of 100 ways Labour will tax and spend that Old Hippy Guy found

If you mean the fact that he himself knows the policies are bad:

The leadership this country needs is one that has big ideas to change things. With the sense of principle needed to stick to those beliefs and ideas even when it is hard....I will sometimes fall short of that gold standard.

Ed's job to appeal to the poor, harriet is in charge of the squeezed middle

Bet David Axlerod choreographed Miliband's cosy little chat on the Andrew Marr show this morning. So taxing an interview that Miliband could have slept his way through it.

Is any Marr interview taxing? I don't think so, regardless of party or leader.
