Well there is the "Rainbow Coalition".. coincidence? I think not.

Is that like the coalition against terror, but with Zippy and George?

    Anyone remember Captain Pugwash? ;):D

I have heard about that one! Apparently it was notorious! I must have been so innocent because I noticed nothing! :D

You noticed nothing because there was nothing to notice. Read my lips (I'll set up the webcam): there are no rude character names in Capt. Pugwash!

there was a captain pugwash video released in the 80s (probably NOT be the BBC) that definitely played up to character name urban legend, by having lots of innuendo on the blurb ion the back cover. I'm sure the actual content was a clean as when it was first broadcast.

The Rainbow sketch, was for ITVs equivalent of the BBCs "Christmas tapes", and was never aired.

the way little cook "rides" the spoon, is clearly pornographic and must be BANNED!!!! (okay, maybe not)

I read that the "words" the clangers made were ones like "dam" and "bugger", rather than "big cock" or "hairy bollocks"

While some writers do (cough) 'slip things in', most of the examples given so far are more to do with an overactive imagination of the viewers.

    Loooved the Rainbow clip, hehe.
"Yesterday we played with our balls...are we going to play with our friend's balls today?" And was it just me, or were Zippy and George in the bath? Playing with their balls and their twangers, in the bath?!

And then they were peeling banana skins: 'one skin, two skin, three skin, four....' :D

Kids don't notice these things when they're small - it's just adults with dirty minds  :D

Let's face it, we have to sit through these with our kids, we should be grateful the programme makes are giving us something to compensate for that!

Without quoting the whole of your thread, it seems obvious to me that you are reading a lot of Adult meaning into an innocent childrens program, which actually has no innuendo to a child.

Best stick to grown ups television :)
Guess youve never been to a panto then?
