Can anyone tell me if the PVR 9200t attenuates the sound even when the volume is turned up fully.
When watching TV via the 9200, if I change the A.V setting to my DVD player the volume increases a fair amount. This requires me to turn the TV down using it's remote control. When swithing back to the 9200, the volume is now too low and I have to turn it up again with the TV remote. I had hoped to get away from using so many remotes.
Any thoughts?

The volume on the Hummy is set to full, there appears to be an definate attenuation of the volume compared to not "going" through the Hummy??
Any one else out there notice this?

Get a universal remote?
Just niggly things really, the Humax is definitely one of the best bits of kit I've ever bought,no hangups since buying it last October!
I am having the same problem, i have to turn the sound up high on the tv, then use the Humax remote, the sound is ok if i use AV1 but the sound control doesn't work, the volume slide moves up on the tv, but not the volume, also the mute symbol is on screen yet i have sound, if i use AV2 then the sound is really low, but the volume control works, i have tried a new scart lead, still the same, i've only had my Humax just over two weeks, and it's locked out 4/5 times, and missed recording 4 programs, i hope the update cures this fault.
Thnaks, just wanted to know that there was nothing wrong with the Hummy!

dalkaty, you can not control the sound or mute if the TV is connected to the video scart. I would be suprised if you have done this but if you havent looked have a double check. Regardless, if the volume ranges from no sound to "really low" and with the TV volume tuned "up high" then needless to say there is something wrong there and it will probably need to be returned unfortunately.
