Yeah, Pig and humans are, I believe, to be the only mammals that have sex for pleasure, so I'm sure that pig wasn't complaining. ;)
Dare we ask how you know

The thing is, this was an artificialy created incident ( whithin the context of the show i mean , as all reality TV is artificially created ect)

Rebecca was taken offf-site to pleasure the pig because there wasnt a pig that needed pleasuring on the celbirity fram. It was an event created by the producers to bait the media into covering thier show.
Clint gets the pleasure of doing it himself.

They are expecting sows to come into season and I would imagine that the collected semen will be used to fertilise at least one of the sows.

Oh dear, what a claim to fame.

My comments about being grossed out - were about me - If it happens on a farm normally, then it should still be shown.

Lots of things shown on tv gross me out - but I still think they should be shown - top of the things I can't watch is boxing - it makes me feel sick - but I'd defend its right to be shown.

""I couldn't watch it - it grossed me out," said a viewer who emailed the Digital Spy website. "Are there not laws against this kind of thing?" asked another."

LOL well done GG and JonDoe :D:)

On this subject here is a suitable quote from the Kevin Smith film Clerks:

"It's important to have a job that makes a difference, boys. That's why I manually masturbate caged animals for artificial insemination."

RSPCA, OFcom, readers of The Sun, PETA, some viewers themselves - all outraged at the stunt.

It should not have been shown on tv at any hour, was there even a sensory warning before the start of the show? I also think there is a lot of criticism about this because of the way Loos acted and the blatant cry of publicity stunt. We all know the show producers chose Loos for publicity reasons....I can't believe a 5ive spokesman said she was chosen because she was "most competent"...any of the male 'celebrities' would've been more so, since it's about strength. *not to be sexist here*

It was explained at the time .... she was more competant with the animals in general

I do not see the same outcry about the bull being relieved similarly - why not?

It was explained that this was also standard practice on farms ... why should there be such an outcry .... everybody, companies, charities and organisations just all wanting to get their names into the papers I reckon

tomorrow - This is why I hate living in Britian now, people take things way too much to heart, they feel they have to complain about anything they see. Most probably people who live in the cities and don't have a clue what goes on in the countryside, they are a load of buns.

Agreed, its hard to think that some people sit at home watch a whole programme and then they cant find anything better to with their time than complain about it, just turn it off, if you dont like what you see.
Look at this years BB, people actually phoning the police on"fight night".
Come on Great Britain, get a grip.

So what you're basically saying is that it's OK for a broadcaster to churn out any sort of depraved crap? What next then? Live Granny shagging? What if your young and imprssionable son or daughter had chanced upon The Farm this week? I know it's shown late, when all the kiddies should be tucked up but as a parent I know it doesn't always work like that.

No I did not watch this programme but I'm saddened that Five have sunk so low as to put out this sort of thing in the name of entertainment. Cheap thrill more like. As a towny, I am aware things like Turkey wa%#king goes on and understand it is an essential part of the modern farm business. Showing these activities in the context of a docu is one thing, making entertainment out of it is frankly bordering on sick/porn.

Firstly, as i said, if you dont like it, turn it off
Secondly, ive found the farm very educational and as you said you havent seen it, so how can you judge, my children have watched parts and have learnt loads. This whole thing has been way blown out of preportion, the pig wasnt the first animal to be stimulated in this way but the only reason its been made such a big deal about it, is because of who did it.
It happens on farms all the time, its done by the farmhands, and that is what the celebs are there to be, if it had been done by any other person, other than farm viewers, no-one else would even have known it happened.
Try watching a programme before judging.

Sorry: I take offence at your tone.
I don't have to watch it to be able to comment on it. I think there's been enough coverage here and elsewhere to build a fairly accurate picture of what went on. This was titilation with a view to obtaining cheap attention in the press. I haven't read the Bible cover to cover but if you want I can pass comment on it, just like you can no doubt.

Yeah, I agree in the first instance I can switch off/over. That doesn't however, give broadcasters the right to put out whatever crap they want. There are parts of society who need protecting or are impressionable or might just be easily offended. This was a cynical ploy by Five to grab some extra viewers for the following nights. The lowest common denominator: it was not an educational programme, rather it was entertainment. As such it was poor.

Ceramix get over it!!! There is a lot more sinister things out there to be getting worried about than semen collection.

    Its both educational AND entertainment....

    Educational Entertainment!!

Im not impressionable, dont need protecting nor easily offended. So why should I be stopped watching Rebecca Loos W***ing off a pig?

I, for one, found it hilarious!

Ceramix, unless you watch the program you really can't judge it. We and the farmhands had already been shown how semen was obtained from a bull for artificial insemination but there was no outcry over that. From what was shown then it would be reasonable to assume that pig semen was collected in the same way but that assumption would be incorrect. Surely both methods should be shown so that we have the correct information. The real reason for the outcry is that the press have been able to sensationalise it because the pig semen was collected by Rebecca. If the vet or one of the men had done it would there have been the same reaction? I doubt it.

In a program like this there are bound to be things we'd prefer not to see. How many men turned away when the bullocks were castrated? How many people couldn't watch the chickens being gutted? I know I couldn't.

Tonights program will show a butcher showing the farmhands how a pig is butchered. The pig is one of the ones that were sent for slaughter on Wednesday. No doubt that is going to upset a few people.

The program is educational and also entertainment. The tasks done by the farmhands are real jobs that are done on farms. Channel 5 didn't invent sheep dagging so that the celebrities could be filmed cleaning sheeps bottoms. The bullocks weren't castrated so that we could watch the reactions of the farm hands even though it was funny to see the way the men reacted.

I'm enjoying the program and am learning from it.

Er ... you haven't actually said what it is about a pig being masturbated and the sperm being collected that you find objectionable.
