Ditto. I seriously doubt I could remember them all either.

When I was in my late teens, we used to go the cinema weekly too. But in those days, cinemas weren't quite so expensive.

I would've went to the cinema more often if the nearest one wasn't 7+ miles away!

Far too many to remember but the first time i recall going was to see Aladdin ( Disney) - my mum tells me that I'd been quite a few times prior to that but I don't remember.

The last few I've seen are The Impossible, The Hobbit, Texas Chainsaw 3D, les Mis and Pitch Perfect.

When I was reviewing movies back in the 80s and 90s I could see 20+ movies a week (which is actually not nearly as much fun as you might imagine). The list for me, and probably most movie fans, is in the hundreds if not thousands.

The first film I saw at the pictures was one of the Herbie films (either Herbie goes to Monte Carlo or Herbie Rides again). It was a treat during the summer holidays and it was one of the big old cinemas in Liverpool (ABC or Odeon on Lime Street?) There were no leisure out of town complexes then!

One my early favourites as a child was Freaky Friday with Jodie Foster; also Abba the Movie as a birthday treat. Also have a soft spot for Back to the Future as a teenager,

The film which had the best atmosphere was Fatal Attraction, with Silence of the Lambs a close second.

Most recent film was Les Mis - best song On My Own by a mile.

Not sure why that's worthy of doubt. I saw Superman (the Movie) at the cinema 26 times!!! I've probably blown 100 movie sittings between the Star Wars movies and the Superman movies alone. 10% of a thousand on two licenses alone.

So who did you review for?

Impossible to answer. Easier to say the first would be Song of the South at the A.B.C. or Odeon in Chelmsford (I used to say Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, but my parents disputed my recollection by pointing out SOTS was actually my first as part of a locally organised Disney Film Festival weekend) and the most recent is The Green Cockatoo at the Southbank a couple of weeks ago.

You have to admit it is unusual to see 20+ films per week when it was usually 2 or 3 10-AM screenings per week for most reviewers.
