There's one sketch I remember which I only ever saw as a trailer and I never found out which show it was from. It showed a chubby man putting the finishing touches to a big model aeroplane he'd just built. He was trying to put the pilot into the seat but it kept sticking to his fingers and coming back out. He did this several times before getting so frustrated he smashed the entire thing to pieces.

    Anyone know that one?

No, sorry...it does sound vaguely familiar though.

I was just coming on to post this. Julie Walters is hilarious - that walk and head tremor.... If ever I hear anyone say "two soups" I still crack up even after all these years.

Another fan of Two Soups here.

Hilarious sketch time after time of watching it :)

Laurel and Hardy - as piano movers

I remember watching that as a kid in the 1970s when Laurel and Hardy used to be shown on the BBC every so often. I watched it again recently and it's still hilarious.

When anyone else does this kind of comedy of incompetence, I tend to find it annoying that they don't just do things properly, but I never feel it with Laurel and Hardy.

I really like some of the old Fry and Laurie ones. The first one that sprang to mind is the ridiculously stupid one with Hugh Laurie as a waiter who keeps getting muddled up between soup and suit. It's ridiculous, but it always makes me laugh.

There are far too many to choose just one.... I'd certainly include a good number of those already mentioned but my list wouldn't be complete without "Going for an English"

Mitchell and Webb - Diana Assassination Plot
Fascinating Aida - Cheap Flights (not really a sketch I suppose but always makes me laugh!)

Beat me to it! One of my all time favourites, it reminds me of a cafe we used to go to with my gran when I was younger.

    Foul Language in the Media

    Constable Savage

    Python Worshippers

And a fantastic one from Python themselves:

    Undertaker

Can't remember if it was Alas Smith and Jones or Not the nine o'clock news, but it was the one where they were airline pilots trying to find somewhere to park.

And, of course, Fork Handles and the M&W Andre Previn sketch

2 of my faves come from Spitting Image, but I can't find them on Youtube these days.......

    1) The "Vegetable" sketch with Maggie and her cabinet

    2) Death is standing at a bar, where the barman says to him something along the lines of "Blimey, you're looking a bit peeky Mr. Death, are you ok?", to which Death replies "I feel like Keith Richards warmed up" :D

Pete and Dud's "One Legged Tarzan" and Morecambe and Wise's "Andrew Preview" are the best two I know.

Honorable mentions would go to Gerald the Gorilla and "The Ayatollah Song" (NtNON), several "Rowley Birkin QC" ones from The Fast Show, Peter Cook explaining how he wanted to be a Judge but "I didn't have the Latin", Monty Python's "Llama Song" ("The llama is a quadraped!") and The Two Ronnies "Mastermind".

And I forgot Armstrong and Miller.

Any of the Airmen, "Origins of....." and Brabbinge and Fyffe (especially "The wonderful thing about teenage girls.........")
