The Atlantic ocean is a wonderful thing.

I always wondered that, I think that it may have something to do with a fear of being called unamerican? But that is only my opinion.

Even Americans can tell the difference between them and a big lump of frozen water and icebergs don't have beards anyway.

When I watched the video, I waited until then end, then politely applauded.

However, I do admit to saying "Gosh!" (very quietly) at one point.

Yes. Around here it's considered bad form for an adult to behave infantile. ^_^

I doubt that people from Japan or India would react in that way.

that's not a very politically correct thing to say is it.
in this day is stereotyping not considered wrong?
If you said something about muslims ,it would be considered Un p.c.

How come it OK to stereotype americans but not muslims or immigrants?

Have you ever been to the Arctic or Antarctic? Its spectacular, to use the popular American word it truly is 'awesome' in the literal sense of the word. These tourist were in a small boat when several tons of ice dropped off a melting iceberg not that far away; any tourist would let out a yell at that sight and I'd suggest many Brits would have used more colourful language.

WOWWWWW I'd do the same thing!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D
    Sounds like a fun boat.

I would think anybody who did not react in awe would look out of place, or you could go on the Brit boat and lightly tap your teaspoons against your teacups in polite jubilation! ;-)

No I wouldn't, as my parents and family would tell you I've always been emotionally quite stoic.

Here as in the area where I live, not a section of a server somewhere in London or else where. :p

Regrettably no, don't have the finances to make such a trip. This Brit would be silent in admiration of Mother Natures might. :)

We Brits have a legal limit on the amount of excitement that is allowed to be exhibited. No matter how awesome the spectacle, the absolute maximum one can do is a muted but rapid applause and a hushed vocalisation of "That was rather good wasn't it, darling?" to ones partner.

My husband is headed to Elland Road on Monday. I'll be sure to remind him of this. :D
