AOL email

I have just received 2 spam emails at work from a very old AOL email account that as far as i know was deleted from AOL about 5 years ago - does anyone know how long an email address would remain "live" after supposed closure? I do have 3 other AOL screen names but I do not use them as an ISP anymore.

    You can still use them i canceled Aol around 5 years ago but can still use AOL email .

    Mine are still working ten years after canceling AOL.

    I still use the AOL software and my AOL email addresses 5 years after leaving AOL. The software is excellent at blocking spam etc.

    Me too also ~5 years ago (boy how does time fly). I went to Virgin but couldn't stand the Virgin mail system so stayed with AOL email which is just perfect. :)
